Forgot to ask the most important question: does he get a hot dog when he goes?

He does if he’s not an idiot. $1.50 dog and drink? C’mon son.

Is there any regular player more useless vs what they're advertised as than Ryan Reaves?
Hockey Randomness
I think Reaves performs exactly as advertised. He’s just in the wrong era.

Hes all talk. Keefe complains about how the Leafs didn't have a physical response after Marchand-Liljgren. They're paying Reaves 1.3 to be that response and all he does is jaw at Marchand from the bench.
Oh great, such a deterrent to play 7.5 minutes and throw 0 hits. Real big physical presence there.
I'm just tired of people trying to pretend he's an NHL player. He does nothing and adds nothing.

It's perplexing how anyone sees Reaves and thinks "this time it'll be different and he'll be a tough guy that we need to defend out team."
That simply hasn't happened and there's like 5 teams worth of evidence for it lol. For Toronto to give that money up, well, that's all on them.

This is the opinion of people who don't think fighting or even hitting belongs in hockey. Go in those 5 locker rooms and ask them for their opinions on Reaves

New topic. Are the Mighty Ducks throwbacks the best threads in the NHL?
Hockey Randomness
I'm sure Toronto loves all the hits he gets in his 7 minutes a night of ice time while they're 5-4-2 with a -1 goal diff
Or maybe how his own personal on-ice goal diff is -8

He's consistently been a good fourth liner his whole career...he's not just a goon...
Maybe some white people hate him for a very specific reason, I wonder what that could be...hmmm....

How did this not come up before/during the investigation...?
Hockey Randomness
I'm almost positive it was mentioned, or alluded to. This player just waited until now to also file a lawsuit.
It's also possible it didn't come up before because the focus was on what Kyle Beach went through and dealt with.

Because we gave up Sundqvist (a nice bottom six player we could have used the past x years) and a first for him? I don't actually dislike Reaves, I'm just jaded by that bad deal and the defending of itHe's consistently been a good fourth liner his whole career...he's not just a goon...

Ah the ol' Sundqvist and 1st trope...we traded down, what, 30 spots in the draft and quite possibly drafted the same player we would have any way given the way we scout...losing Sundqvist turned out to be too bad though, I agree. After his first season in St. Louis (where he did nothing), he was maybe the league's most improved player. Who knows if that would have happened here or not though...
I like the thought process of adding Reaves. If Sundqvist had continued on the same path as his first three seasons, then it's a fine deal. But Sunny being a player makes it look pretty tough for sure...

20 spots* and who cares
"Traded a 1st" for Reaves is intentionally disingenuous

He would have fit in nicely here, considering all of the time that he has missed while injured.Ah the ol' Sundqvist and 1st trope...we traded down, what, 30 spots in the draft and quite possibly drafted the same player we would have any way given the way we scout...losing Sundqvist turned out to be too bad though, I agree. That 2017 offseason was the downfall of JR. Dude went away from what got us 2 cups.
