The Guentzel-TK-Rowney line has combined for 38 points in 10 playoff games.

Guentzel misses an open net with 30 seconds to go in regulation. Going to OT

Suffice to say it's WBS in the ECF, not Pittsburgh. I'm not going to claim to be an expert on the Baby Pens either as I only attended 1 of their games this year. However, I think they can do a lot better than Donatelli at HC.

Agreed. His hiring doesn't really fit the recent history of WBS hires and I wonder if a change will be made in the offseason.

1999-2003: Random, drunken Patrick family member.
2003-2005: Michel Therrien - highly regarded coach with NHL head coaching experience
2006-2008: Todd Richards - 800+ games as a professional player, four years as assistant coach with successful AHL team
2008-2009: Disco Dan - 700+ games as professional player, four years as AHL/NHL assistant, including two under Richards
2009-2010: Todd Reirden - 700+ games as professional player, short coaching career, benefactor of Bylsma's promotion
2010-2015: John Hynes - Short playing career, but highly successful coach of USNTDP plus international experience
2015-2016: Mike Sullivan - Long playing career, tons of experience as head and assistant coach in NHL and AHL

Donatelli had a cup of coffee in the NHL and spent most of his career in the IHL, so the professional playing experience is there. Years as an okay coach in Wheeling doesn't really fit the track record of NHL or AHL coaching experience. I'm honestly surprised they didn't keep Jay Leach as the head coach. Fourteen years as an assistant in the NHL, five years as a head coach in the AHL. He seems to fit more as their ideal candidate.

Reading some WBS wrap up articles I just saw that even after Sprong starting the playoffs with five goals in four games, Donatelli bumped him to the 4th line with Blueger and Sestito once Simon came back from injury. That's straight moronic coaching. Ship Donatelli somewhere worse than Wheeling.

You guys think Kostopoulos will be signed and added to the Black Aces? He's on an AHL only deal, afaik. Nice reward for his services to the organization.

Back for another year as a player? Or as a coach?

Pretty sure it's because although he had 5 goals in 4 games, he was a bit of a liability when he wasn't scoring. He had a few turnovers that led to goals against, with at least one being shorthanded.

You can't sign a player not on your reserve list for the playoffs...and players don't get paid in the playoffs...so it's not doing TK any favors to the best of my knowledge...he can practice with the team if they want him to practice with the team I guess...

Hold up! You mean that looking at one specific stat in a vacuum and ignoring everything else is not the correct way to evaluate a player?
