Why did they fire him, hes done exactly what he did previous. Were they hiring him to be something hes not?

He seems to be a quite good coach, imho. His team usually finish with many points during the season.

The bad part is probably that it seems that he can't go very far in the playoffs. Is he too easy to adjust to? Or too bad/stubborn to adapt to the other team?

He's just pretty flamboyant all the time, both in play and speech, so when it comes down to brass tacks, the players probably don't get any extra motivation out of him dropping 10 F bombs in 60 seconds because he does that all season long...

Also, I mean, he likes a very offensive style and a lot of times the offense dries up in the tight checking games...look at Washington's goal production in elimination games when he was there...what, they scored 1 in game 7 against Nashville or whatever...it is a little surprising that a roster like Anaheim's which is way up there for me, couldn't get by a Nashville team that was led by healthy scratch Colin Wilson in a 7th game situation...if he wins that series, no thread...but man, to have that talent level and come up short...dressing Clayton Stoner in an elimination game when I don't think he dressed all series long was also a little odd to me...
