Most deadlines the deals don't start to roll in until around noon eastern...

Doubt it gets busy really at all, I think most, if not all, the big trades have been made.

I may be in the minority, but I don't see the Staal trade as big a trade as others. He wasn't even the best Staal on the team.

Agree. But it's big a relative sense. Eric Staal has more "reputation points" than actual points the last few years...could still be a help on a team that is almost nothing but depth/support players...

CBJ have also been tied to Nashville, with Scott Hartnell returning to his NHL roots, but both Hartnell and Tyutin (who has also been mentioned in trade speculation) are on the ice for practice.

I find it hilarious that the Plotnikov deal is the big move of the deadline thus far. I actually don't expect another trade to be announced until after 3pm.
