Scott Bailey is a guy I remember.
Scott Bailey played in a total of 19 games with the Boston Bruins in the mid-1990s, compiling record of 6-6-2. He was the starting goalie for their Providence affiliate in 1994-1997.
Drafted by the Bruins in 1992 he was first sent to play for the Johnstown Chiefs going 13-15-3 during his time in Western PA.
Upon retirement Scott Bailey went on to become a biblical scholar

Cbus got Wright I thought...but we did lose Junkka somehow...did we lose both to Cbus and no one to Minnesota, was that a possibility?

I remember Kelly Kisio because (1) his name is funny to say and (2) he was one of the guys on the inaugural 91-92 San Jose Sharks team that was very bad. Kisio spent 13 years in the NHL with the Wings, Rangers, Sharks, and Flames. An 8-time 20-goal scorer (!!!), Kisio put up a career line of 229-429-658 in 761 games.
While I recall him as a member of the Sharks, I learned today that he wasn't actually selected by the Sharks in the 1991 NHL Dispersal and Expansion Draft (which draft probably deserves its own thread because of how bonkers insane the entire thing was), but rather was initially selected by the soon-to-depart Minnesota North Stars:
Shane Churla, selected by San Jose in the Dispersal Draft, was traded back to Minnesota for Kelly Kisio, whom the North Stars had selected in the Expansion Draft, on June 3, 1991

Tim Hunter is a guy I remember because in NHLPA 93 I wanted to get into fights and he had the highest fighting rating.

I don't remember much of this guy, other than I had his trading card. Seeing the name made me think it read Mario Marios, and was a very strange name indeed. This was before I knew anything about France (except it was where the naked ladies danced) or what a French Canadian was.

Let's keep the alliteration going after Kelly Kisio and Mario Marois, and remember my main man Tony Twist. Twist is best known for his time with the Blues, and in particular the Mike Keenan mid-90s era Blues. He also spent 4 seasons with the Nordiques.
Tony was the quintessential enforcer of NHL past. Twist put up a sparkling .06 points per game with a line of 10-18-28 over 445 NHL games. The Twister, of course, is not known for his scoring, but rather his heavy right hand and willingness to destroy souls. Here's a piece from 1998 describing his reputation:

From a pronunciation standpoint, this is sort of alliterative...
Juha Ylonen. Defensive forward and good penalty killer...smart. Seen above in that legend sweater. Also played in the first best-on-best Olympics for Finland in 1998. And the appetizer for that, the 1996 World Cup.
Juha's son, Jesse, is projected to be a top-50 pick in the 2018 NHL Draft.
Juha is a guy I remember.

Some of my early flyer hatred - that one playoff series I believe in 88-89 . f-ing flyers and Tim Kerr .
One of the more hateable Flyers from that era.

Tony Tanti is a Penguin I remember as having a very nondescript type impact for the team. He only scored 20 goals for them between the 89-90 and 90-91 seasons. However, he averaged 40 goals a season for the Canucks in the mid 80s.

Taken in the 9th round by the Flames. My sense is that teams were hesitant to pluck him, in that Euros weren't so common in the league at the time and/or had a bad rep.
The dude knew how to play and put up some good numbers in his 6 years in Calgary, including a 50 goal season.

To whatever extent hockey talk existed on Pittsburgh radio at the time, Hakan Loob was definitely discussed on Savran's show on WTAE. I was...younger....then, but he was on the radar of the common fan, as someone of interest. Clearly, way too many teams were frightened off by him and for too long in the draft.
