I can bat a puck into the goalie and then tap it in. I can high stick a puck and play it once it hits another skater. I don't see what's inconsistent about my proposal with the previous two examples

No you can't.

If you high touch a puck, you can't be the one that touches it first. A deflection off of another player doesn't wash that out. Possession would. If the goalie catches it and throws it onto your blade again, sure. But you can't play that puck if it ticks off their shoulder back to you...

No one hates him really in the mainstream or most places. Except me, because he's unquestionably the worst playoff player of his generation. He was just dreadful tonight. So many chances generated for him and so many bobbled pucks and flubs...could have been 5-0 early in the game if Mr. Yips could handle playoff games...

He got a goal, so everyone will look at it as a win I guess...that fade away goal along the ice from behind the net on a chance that everyone else generated, that makes it all better for some. But man, he was really needed to step up without #1 center Brayden Point. They put him at center again, and he's a ghost. Third best player on his line by a huge margin behind Kucherov and Palat. And instead, it's Cirelli and Paul that are stepping up noticeably in the absence of Pointer...Stamkos is in his comfortable, perimeter passenger status as always...

I mean, if anyone thinks he was good tonight - time to adjust your bunny ears...
