The Kings are going to have $11M in dead cap space next year due to poor player/contract choices. $6.25M Kovalchuk, $4.0625M Phaneuf, $700K Richards.

Fingers crossed they have Milbury on next.

Guess I'm just getting to old, but after reading all that was said, I didn't see much wrong with what Roenick said. In fact I saw a lot of compliments and some joking around like he always does. Just can't say much these days without someone being offended, IMO.

You would get in trouble if you worked in an office and said "I'd have a threesome with this female coworker of mine". It's extremely unprofessional.

JR is an idiot. Tell us something we don’t know

I never worked in an office. Spent 25 years in a steel mill and 11 years in a coal mine so I am not easily offended. Maybe being an old white guy I offend other people easily which is why I try to stay off social media. I am going to miss JR and his tell it like it is or was style. I would much rather see Pierre and Milbury go.Guess I'm just getting to old, but after reading all that was said, I didn't see much wrong with what Roenick said. Not sure why it’s so hard for dudes to not make sexual jokes in the office. People do it at my job and I can’t fathom it. A) do you think the girl is going to bang you because of that dumb joke? It’s not a good joke likely anyways but there is no chance in hell the woman is like “I like this guys style, and b) the repercussions of said joke are astronomical
The only thing is Roenick is sooooo dumb and is missing half of his brain, so he could use that excuse

Not only is it wildly inappropriate towards Tappen, I'm sure his wife wouldn't find it acceptable

They don’t move my needle. It’s not as difficult as I think a lot of fans think. In game, I’m sure it’s a bit more challenging. I’m always shocked that most goalies are even close to getting there. I’d have my thumb up my butt if someone tried that on me.
Doing it once is cool for the fans and the players around the league. Doing it twice makes it into a thing. He's going to start getting some extra attention to that side of the net when he is behind the net. Even the Jets players (CB and I think it was Pionk) were trying to seal that off, but it isn't really in defenders play dictionary yet. And by extra attention I mean getting the **** slashed out of his hands anytime he is near the blue.

Agreed. Canucks prospect Nils Höglander is pulling it off with some regularity, too. What bothers me is that the blade usually ends up pretty close to the goalie's head. I guess eventually this will either end with a broken wrist or a concussed goalie or Pekka Rinne beating the crap out of someone.

Maybe not Rinne, but can you imagine Mike Smith giving up one of these? What about Hank? Bananalands incoming.
I'm not as concerned with the concussion possibility as I am with a stick blade going through the goalie's cateye. A blade can fit in there without much difficulty.

I think Smitty would stop it actually, but yeah, that would be the last goal that player ever scored if he did...

Yeah, I had Rask in mind, my bad.

I'm sure they'll have a laugh about it the next time Tappen goes on vacation as a 3rd wheel with JR and his wife, as apparently its a thing they do. If that's true, theres zero percent chance that was never referenced within their group as a joke before.
