$21.8MM in signing bonus and salary in the first year of the Aho offer sheet. Montreal trying to structure the deal in a manner that the Canes either can't or won't pay.

Canes would get a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in return.

That's not how I understand the verbiage nor the wording of the rule. I thought anyone could offer an offer sheet, but it only matters if the player signs.

If it's getting announced and the Canes are being given a week to match, then Aho has signed.
