Also, TIL of the Roger Crozier Saving Grace Award (highest save percentage in the league). It was only awarded seven times from 2000-2007, and the only player to win it twice?

There were a few seasons there where Turco was an absolute animal.

Regular seasons, yeah. And game 6 of the 2008 WCSF vs San Jose. Where two unlikely playoff goalies had one of the duels of the century...

Kovalev should have made them compare highlight videos.
I didn't realize how many goals he scored in his career. Was thinking it was at least closer to 100.

I knew he was a career bottom sixer who spent most of his time on the PK, but to play 429 games and only score 19 goals? That's an average of 3.63 goals per 82 games. :o

I could definitely see it being difficult for someone like Kovalev, with his talent and on ice accomplishments, being expected to take orders from a former fourth line plug who is only two and a half years older than you.

Bylsma’s amount of NHL scoring had little to due with the lack of respect his players had for him.

And Wayne Gretzky's career totals meant nothing with regards to his acumen as a coach.

While both points are correct, this is Kovalev we’re talking about here. Dude did whatever he wanted.

I didn't mean it like that. I was just surprised how low that career goal total was.

Toby Enstrom is returning to Sweden to play for Modo -- his hometown team. He garnered a fair amount of NHL interest this summer, but didn't find a situation that kept him in North America.
Enstrom signed a one-year deal with Modo and has been named captain. He played five seasons for the club before first coming to the NHL.
Wasn't sure if this made more sense here or the signings thread. Either way.
