The way these two goaltenders are playing, we might not get to double digits in combined goal total for the series.

The schedule is awful. Monday the 28th, Wednesday the 30th, Saturday the 2nd, Monday the 4th, Thursday the 7th, Sunday the 10th, Wednesday the 13th.
So if this series goes 7 games they get like two weeks off before next season?
Won't matter to some, they'll just increase the dosage

We might actually see some OT too...only 10 games have gone to overtime in these playoffs...these two teams played in 8 of'em...

Same sh't as last year, iirc.

So Game 7 ends a day before the World Cup U.S. Open begins.

ticket prices in both cities already WAAAAAAY out of control. $900 in DC, $1k in Vegas, and that's for the cheap seats. :face:

Vegas regular season tickets were more than each of the last two playoff games I saw in Pittsburgh...

I picked caps in 6. It's their year.

I don’t get this argument. It’s as much Vegas’ year (whatever that means) as it is the Caps’

If we’re talking about “storybook” or whatever, Vegas has more to claim. An expansion team that wasn’t expected to have a winning season; not only in the finals but steamrolling their opponents?

Duh, I thought this started tonight. But of course it starts on a Monday. Why play Sunday when you can play on Monday, right?

I uncharacteristically checked out about 3 seconds after the Pens lost. Game 1 has a chance to re-engage me, but the fact that I haven’t watched hockey in almost a week makes it tough for me to get up for these games.

I like the Caps in 6. I think Holtby pitches two shutouts to lead the Caps over Vegas in a relatively low-scoring series.

I also have the team that shall not be named in 6. There’s often a lot of mental intangibles that go into things like this and there’s a lot to be said about finally beating a team that has blocked you forever. After that, it’s almost like they unclench and play free. It doesn’t explain why they went down 3-2 to Tampa but when they just play their game and free skate, they’re incredibly difficult. Vegas will bring a ton of speed and a very healthy lineup but in the end, it will be Holtby and their responsible defense that wins the series.

I’m gonna go throw up now.
