Bernier, the 2016 1st-rounder, a 2017 2nd-rounder for Andersen & a conditional.

Plus, the Leafs paid Bernier's 2 million dollar signing bonus this year. So while his cap hit is 4.15, his actual salary for the Ducks is 2.15.

I do really like Bernier, he needs Warren Strelow to come back to life to help him with his game...these butterfly guys are going to knock him out of the league...he doesn't want to be a pure butterfly goalie...

There is something about bernier i dont like. Aside from him being a goalie. Funny story...once upon a time i drafted quick as a bridge for bernier in the lgp keeper league.

He doesn't look like most other goalies, so people assume he's doing it wrong...and honestly, the last year or two, he kinda has been...he appears to be the king of the soft early goal in the NHL right now...but if he could get the right goalie coach to help him, he might be in good shape...I'm not sure who is around that could really mesh with a hybrid guy...maybe Belfour or Burke could help, I'm not sure what Belfour does these days...though I could guess...

Watching the 1996 Colorado Avalanche Cup video on NHLN.

Kind of funny how they just kinda completely glossed over the whole Claude Lemieux-Darren Mccarthy thing.

The word is that Burke is a mental guru. Think that's what Bernier needs at this point.

Rangers trade Derick Brassard and a 7th to Ottawa for Mika Zibanejad and a 2nd in 2018.

That is odd. Are the Sens in win-now mode? Is some sort of window closing?

Brassard is from a suburb of Ottawa. That's why. They are an irrelevant team.

One player is leaving his prime and one is entering his prime. I get it from that perspective for New York I guess...

I would definitely call nyr the winners but it seems like a nothing trade.

The NHL has dismissed James Oldham, the neutral arbitrator who reduced Dennis Wideman's suspension from 20 to 10 games. More in SBD.
I guess they didn't get the result that they told him to give.

That trade would make more sense to me if it were Brassard and a 2nd for Zibanejad and a 7th.

Brass is better now and Zbad has not really evolved as planned...though he showed something last year, to be fair...I can see a good case for what you're saying, but that's if you believe in Zibanejad. Obviously, the Senators do not and they cashed out.

Not the Richards I was expecting to see. I actually thought this one already retired a year or two ago, ha.

Just bought a pair of tickets for the Avs-Kings Frozen Fury game in Vegas on Oct. 8th. It's being played at the T-Mobile Arena.

I was able to get tickets with a presale code, and it's a good thing. Building is almost sold out.

If available, I will probably end up buy the Las Vegas team's jersey.
