The only one I think is interesting is the last one. The other two are just dumb and shouldn’t be a thing.

I have been campaigning for the second one for years. Very dumb for a penalty to be washed out just because you scored a second after the hand goes up...
And by the way, this isn't the real CHL, this is Champions League. Which is basically like the four best bowling teams in Lawrence County getting together for a tournament where the winner splits a family size bucket of KFC but no sides...

Exactly. I'm a ig fan of the second one. Just because a team scores is no reason to just forgive the offense.I have been campaigning for the second one for years. Very dumb for a penalty to be washed out just because you scored a second after the hand goes up...

I'm in favor of this. This used to be a rule in the NHL until the mid 50s. Guess they didn't like Jean Beliveau racking up HT's on a single power play.- Penalties will last the full 2:00 even if a goal is scored

Never liked the rule where the power play was cancelled because of a goal. If a goal is scored with a hand up and then another is scored a minute later, then so be it. It might cause that player to think twice about taking a penalty. But since it's the NHL, I doubt it.- Goals scored on a delayed penalty do not cancel out the upcoming power play
Don't like it. You shouldn't be rewarding the offending team, even if they scored a SHG.- Shorthanded goals end a minor penalty.

Nah **** all the way off with that first one.

I don't really need more special teams time...single zone, mostly stagnant play...
Though I guess we'll never see a 3rd period penalty ever again...

I would like to see 2 things added to NHL rules.
1: if you take a penalty under 2 minutes remaining in the 3rd period or OT, the team gets a full 2 minute powerplay.
2: in the 3v3 OT, the attacking team can not regroup past either the center line or their own blueline. unsure which would be more reasonable until some league somewhere tries it.

You realize that #1 would ensure that nobody ever gets a penalty in the final 2 minutes of the 3rd period or OT right?

The NHL rulebook is as close to perfect as you can ask a sport rulebook to be. Puck over glass being the biggest egregiously stupid rule
It’s the enforcement of the rulebook that is lacking and/or inconsistent

If the refs did their job (lol) then no, that shouldn’t be true. I hate watching some guy commit an egregious penalty with 5 seconds left in OT because he knows there’s no consequence to his actions. Hell, the offending player is still eligible for the shootout. You realize that #1 would ensure that nobody ever gets a penalty in the final 2 minutes of the 3rd period or OT right?

This one is gonna be interesting...curious to see his trade value at that cap hit. I'm not sure he has any real positive trade value...I wonder if we can "pay" for Gibson and send a dumpy salary the other way...assuming Jarry doesn't stay, of course...

Best I can do is Gibson for Granlund and our 1st.

Yeah, I wonder if 14th overall is too much for that actually...did Granlund tank his value in 20 games more than Gibson did in four years...?
Hockey Randomness
I would not do a first for Gibson. Maybe a second, but that salary is too much for what he is now. Especially if Hellebucyk is available, Gibson's stuff looks even worse.

I'd say no because his play is declining and he has a 6.4M cap hit for the next 4 seasons.
