Still WFH Fridays, and this afternoon I've just been casually cleaning up my Inbox. I'm logging off at 2:30.

I’ve got two meetings tomorrrow from both of my supervisors (one is technically my supervisor’s supervisor, but some of what I do is evaluated by the supervisor’s supervisor...so it’s a little convoluted).
Normally, I go months without a formal meeting with one of them, but to have two in one day - without a real agenda for one, kind of an informal agenda for the other - is a little disconcerting. Usually, they only want to meet with me when they want to take away space in my building (which I think the informal agenda meeting is about). HR isn’t involved, so I’m not getting ****-canned.
But what bovine feces awaits me tomorrow? I can hardly wait to find out...

Saw a lot of this at my last position, mostly by people that worked with titles and faxed documents. A few people said it allows them to view the document or title without having to zoom out.One of the guys near me has his normal monitors aligned vertically. I have no idea why.

Just make sure you start talking first and say something about how you appreciate that they are recognizing you for doing a good job and you enjoy working there and yada yada yada.I’ve got two meetings tomorrrow from both of my supervisors (one is technically my supervisor’s supervisor, but some of what I do is evaluated by the supervisor’s supervisor...so it’s a little convoluted).

This is common in fields that do a lot of word processing, too. I never really got the hang of it, but a lot of the transactional paralegals and attorneys I've worked with over the years really swear by it. They say it makes drafting and redlining easier. I didn't really find that to be the case, but whatevs.Saw a lot of this at my last position, mostly by people that worked with titles and faxed documents. Oh, and DG..... you likely wouldn't know HR was involved until you walk into the conference room and they say, "Hi DG. We have Barb from HR on speaker."

I have tenure, so it gets difficult to fire me. But, you are right - I wouldn't see it coming.
