Best feeling in the world is when a ***** hiring manager sends a salty email that refers to me never getting back to them about a candidate they want to hire and then me forwarding the sent email with the smarmy “this must have gotten lost on *date it was sent* let me know how we should proceed with offering.”

Kind of hard to complain about my company’s compensation.
10.5% retirement
Fully paid life insurance
Up to 20% bonus per year
Have a full gym we can use for I think 5 dollars a month
Parking is almost fully paid for
Haven’t been able to get the corporate box seats yet but they are available first come first serve

They announced that spouses who are willfully employed and have access to Healthcare but remain on my company's plan will be charged $150 a month. This seems silly and unenforceable. Luckily I'm on my wife's plan.

My company does the same. Luckily my wife is casual at her company and does not get offered insurance. They announced that spouses who are willfully employed and have access to Healthcare but remain on my company's plan will be charged $150 a month. Seeing everybody’s benefits over the past few pages makes me wonder why I stay at my current company.

A lot of companies do that now (surcharge if you can get insurance through your spouse).

That's what our CEO said in a town hallA lot of companies do that now (surcharge if you can get insurance through your spouse).
I guess it's a race to the bottom.

Is that actually $150/month, or pay period (assuming bi-weekly)? Ours is $60/pay period, so about $130/month.

150 a month, so I presume 75 a paycheck if you're bi monthly

Seafood in general should not be microwaved, at home or at work.

I agree for the most part, but there are a couple things I'll microwave at home. Some fillets if marinated with the right herbs do OK in the microwave. Shrimp is right out, however (unless cooked in a jambalaya).Seafood in general should not be microwaved, at home or at work.
It's the one of the reasons I avoid making seafood for dinner. I'm a big leftover eater, and can never justify making seafood when the leftovers sit in the refrigerator for a week and get tossed.

That's why I love my toaster oven. It's perfect for reheating seafood especially.

We tif'd our toaster oven due to space constraints. I should use our oven more often; being a convection oven it should do well reheating foods.

I don't use the oven as much anymore because it's quicker to just use the toaster oven for most things.

Right. However, the convection oven heats up so quick that having a toaster oven for me seems redundant.

Ahhh, I totally missed the 'convection' part of your last post. I get it now.

I got an email from a consulting company that wants me to do a 1 hour survey on how my industry works. They're offering me $250.
Seems fishy but I'll make $250 in an hour...?

I'd be leery of that.

I thought maybe it's phishing trying to get some trade secrets. I googled the company and they seem to be legit

I'd rather not have that $250 than have the specter of future annoyance loom over my head for an indeterminate amount of time...
