My workplace is probably below the average in that respect given we are an engineering service. I hope.

None, I should hope.

I do admit that I like watching flat-earther videos on YouTube.

Flat earthers? Really?

I work with a few people that believe some crazy ****, but no science deniers. Don't think I could abide that...

Oh man, get to YouTube and just search for "flat earth proof." Hours of comedy gold.

What came of the guy who was going to launch himself in a rocket to prove the Earth was flat?

I think I work with a New Earther, but don’t really want to know. He’ll, even the woman married to a preacher isn’t one. :)

I think I may attempt to convince a few people in my office to become flat earthers...I demand to be entertained and this would provide me entertainment...

This is a good metaphor for him, in more ways than one

We have at least one fairly vocal anti-vaxxer/anti-western medicine person. Wouldn't surprise me if they thought the Earth was flat too.

There are a bunch of mouth breathers at my company. I wouldn't be shocked if there are at least 5 that think the earth is flat.

We employ many people from rural Westmoreland county. I'm sure there are a few flatty's here.

Boss told me to start looking for a promotion, I told him to leave me alone I don't need the stress.
I'm now transitioning to the Kimi portion of my life. #LeaveMeAloneIKnowWhatImDoing

I’m slightly over employed at the moment. I should probably be one level lower. I won’t bring this up during my performance review, however. Fake it till you make it, I guess.

My boss is pretty good at managing people and I have a very open dialogue with him. I'm okay telling him that I'm not ready; he'll use the time to mold the division to create a position (or groom me for an existing one) within our enterprise for me to promote into in the meantime. I told him I wasn't ready to leave Pittsburgh (and won't be for 5 years or so) to promote to GS-13 so he now knows that I'm open to promoting within our virtual/enterprise team. Eventually.

The last three years we were in LA was very much Kimi-mode for me, at two different jobs. It was nice, especially since the move it has been quite the opposite.

My boss dropped an application on my desk for a job in our group and jokingly said "If you could review that and write-up a synopsis in about 30 minutes, I'd appreciate it..." I looked at it: 40 f*cking pages long. Who in the hell applies to a job with 40 pages of stuff?!?!

the big boss at my place of employment has a habit of giving out orders via short, cryptic emails. and is not receptive to follow up questions. this is not my favorite thing. it's george costanza going downtown.

My annual enterprise team meeting has moved to Savannah this year; last year we had it in Biloxi and it was a complete **** show.

Sup, columbia. :pop:

(I'd be happy to have dinner/drinks with anyone in the area if you're down with it.)

Travel days are Monday and Friday, though. Last year they tried to have us travel on Fathers Day and they got their peepees smacked.
This **** fell through and now we're meeting on **** Oregon. :face:

But, by coincidence, my boss was talking to me the other day and remembered I used to live in NC. Told me I could do a site visit to Wilmington for a week, so maybe I'll catch you then, c.
