I don't have the forms, and which color goes to which person
Why do they make this so difficult?

And yes, totally feet on the desk, preferably with fuzzy slippers.

I have penguins, named Sid and Geno. The kids always ask which is which and I switch them every time.
Meanwhile, my wife has giraffes.

On occasion I like to read posts on LinkedIn and sure enough you will find some trolls and flame wars happening in the comments, especially if its a hot social issue. Why do people do this when you have your real name, career history and profile there, and your posts are public? Just stupid to me

I cannot believe how terrible people are on LinkedIn. I love the hot young female "entrepreneur" that posts some meaningless BS nonsense about following her dreams and it has 14,000 likes and 4,000 comments. Motherf***er go back to Facebook with that stuff.

When I find a hot woman on LinkedIn 9/10 times she's a recruiter.

There are two guys in the QC department at my company that might have a combined IQ score of 60.

Phone screen went pretty well (certainly better than the last one, yikes), being referred to the hiring manager. No guarantee of a screen with him, of course, but that's still good news. This is the second week of their 9/80 rotation, so this is a 4-day weekend for them, which means I likely won't hear about next steps until next week.

I see more and more people with ultra widescreen monitors at work these days, and this makes me chuckle.

Surprised I'm not seeing them aligned vertically, but then I don't work near coders (or stockbrokers) anymore.

One of the guys near me has his normal monitors aligned vertically. I have no idea why.

Boss came over and showed me an email he got from another director in the building claiming I wasn't giving a member of his team what she needed to do one of the main aspects of her job. I promptly forwarded the email to my boss where I gave her exactly what she needed 3 weeks ago (and of course she didn't reply to it).

Yet another example of why you should never delete work emails.

Very good call - I never delete emails and I sort them by person - for that exact same reason. I think with the reliance of working through email and remote - backing up everything is paramount.

Today is a burner day in terms of working. Nobody is here, everyone wants a three day weekend and we're all just sitting through it together.

Boss here is letting us leave a whole hour early to get a "jump start" on the holiday weekend. Wow, thanks d*ck.

God, I miss flexibility.

What would have been nice is my coworkers telling me BEFORE today, "Oh yeah, that's why everyone comes in late the day before a holiday." He just sets the go time for 3pm. Benefits all the 8-5 and 9-6 people, while us 7-4 people get screwed.

Last place would say leave 2 hours earlier than you normally do. Or, us adults would leave whenever our work was in a good place and it made sense to leave.

7 of my 25 or so team members are gone today so I'm picking up their ticketed work.

Probably all parents. :pop:
