If I was to guess, I'd say wet dog. Maybe.

Got a calendar invite from the owner last night asking if I'm free on Thursday for "a brief idea exchange?"

Ummm... sure. I suppose. The time he suggested didn't work, so I responded to propose a new time. I also asked "Is there anything you'd like me to prepare to bring to the meeting?" Just kind of trolling to figure out what this is about... I can only take this as a good or a bad thing, and considering I do a good job around here, I'm assuming it's good.

You get to the meeting at 4:30 on Thursday. "Hey c2i, I've been trying to think of new ways to make chicken and heard you could help."

For some reason I read the original prompt as Thursday night...not sure why, probably just pre-programmed for me and I thought his boss was gonna ask c2i to dump a load in his old lady or something...like keys in a bowl kinda stuff...that weight loss thing is paying dividends already...

So they gave me some stock in the company... like a lot of stock in the company. Which is cool. It will certainly do what they intended for it to do: for me to stop looking for a different job in the Cleveland area. He said it would be devastating to the company to lose me, so they want to do whatever they can to keep me here.

I finally got the pay grade bump that I've been waiting for. Took 7 months from when I asked til now, apparently it's been in the works a lot longer.

It's about a 25% raise when my performance raise from this year is factored in (which will be on my next paycheck).
