i have a coworker who's been very frantic the last 2 weeks. like to the point where I am concerned for his mental health. today we were on a meeting and on 3 different occasions, a random question came up that someone was like "oh Jimbob can answer that probably". Instead of a follow up email this guy pulls Jimbob onto the call. This happened THREE TIMES in 45 minutes. God bless those people.

It makes sense. That used to be my podcast time.

I can schedule podcast time at home if I need it. In fact, a few days a week, the Peloton ride marks the delineator between work and home. And that's way better for me than sitting on I-376.

When I worked downtown, my commute made me rage. Absolutely hated it.

Now that it's all back roads and I only have to do it 2 days a week, it's actually kind of relaxing.

i don't disagree. not that commuting has to be the method, but some cool down time is important imo

In the summer I take my dog out and just sit on a bench in the front yard and zone out for a while. Winter sucks.

I take some afternoon meetings sitting on my back patio enjoying the weather. Can't wait to be able to do that again.

These people will write anything to force themselves to believe that working in the office is best for everyone.

My downtime is sitting outside, riding the peloton, etc. I've never been less stressed and more happy since being WFH.

I could decompress in the car, but that still didn't take having to work with people in person, and have the same conversations every single day that you would have in the office.

Lmao. Nothing helped me decompress from work like sitting in traffic at the Squirrel Hill tunnels. Always felt so relaxed and happy after.

Unrelated, exhausted/exasperated me to a high-level supervisor just now...

"Yeah, sure...I'll sign your fruity little document...send it over!"

It has a clause in it that states that I won't publicly disparage the company hahaha

Something everyone is signing or your raise gets withheld...

My company has a lot of bad (and well-earned) reviews on Glassdoor and stuff. So, rather than try to make it a better place to work...they just make you sign a document that says that you won't write something negative. I imagine that after my termination, this document won't be valid anyhow...but sure...I won't make fun of your wee-wee on TV or whatever...

Pretty sure they can’t legally do anything even if you did, anyway. But yeah, that place sounds dumb.

I sign a metric ton of legal stuff for work. If you have your fingers crossed when you sign it, it doesn’t count
