Kindly ask the sender to stop being a mook and send it in excel?

I hate when people send screenshots of excel with long numbers/strings and I can't copy and paste. Should be outlawed.

Such a weird feeling. I signed the offer sheet today, and it still feels like I'm quitting the company, even though I'm just moving to a different division.
Still all new people that I have never met, all new role, just a strange feeling even though I'm technically not going anywhere.

When you're in a meeting and someone won't shut up and take the W.
I swear they're trying to talk us into more work.

I spent all of last week telling a group of people that they needed to test their new config, and that I was out of the office on Friday. Sent multiple e-mails including all of that information. Wouldn't you know, my boss texts me laughing, saying that they're asking why I'm unavailable today to assist with testing, claiming they didn't know. These are the type of people who will no longer get favors.

I'm not off for Good Friday (it's fine, it is what it is), but damn was I not expecting to be so busy today. Two conference calls this morning, and a busy virtual career fair from 10:30-12:30. Now I need to get all the work done I couldn't get done this morning.

The key here is realizing that everybody else is an imposter too.I think that's where my imposter syndrome starts though, like, do I believe my own BS enough to convince others, knowing it's BS?Awesome, Morkle. Was hoping you wouldn't have to go back to the old boss with your tail tucked.
Congrats, btw.

Isn’t the first day back from a weeklong vacation always the best?

I have one ticket in my queue, and the lady was apparently irate that I had the nerve to e-mail her instructions instead of calling her, and demanded a phone call today. I'm sure she'll be pleasant to speak with, and I'll have to avoid how she couldn't even make it past step 1 without **** up.

We have a doctor that basically wants us to be the project management team for them as well as ourselves because they can't get a resource to help with the project.

I feel your pain. I've been working on a thin client project for nearly 2 years, and it hasn't gone anywhere because management refused to allow us to open an official project for it. After a number of 'failures' (thanks to the clinical folks), we finally have an official project. Now we will get actual project resources. Our new manager keeps asking my boss, 'what else does NTP need to do for this solution?', and he keeps telling him 'not a god damn thing - the environment has been built for 2 years now!'. The only thing we need now is clinical to actually provide some **** requirements, and then validate their workflows. We have a doctor that basically wants us to be the project management team for them as well as ourselves because they can't get a resource to help with the project.

So I have two+ weeks until I officially transition to the new job. I'm basically in lame duck status just coordinating everything for whoever takes my stuff over.
Nobody has been identified to hand over my stuff to, and I know I'm going to get crushed in the last week trying to pass everything off, but once that 2 week period is over, I've got a feeling I'm going to get sucked into meetings when they have all of this time to do it now.

When I made that transition a few weeks ago I told my boss I felt like I was hurtling toward the edge of a cliff with my foot pressing the throttle to the floor. We were so busy and I had nobody to hand my stuff off.
Credit to him in that my transition was a clean break, there weren't many lingering items I had to keep working for the old team.

What dodint implied, the clean break, is essential. Just make it clear to your old team that they are just that - your old team

"This is affecting patient care, and you need to FIX THIS ISSUE! I have submitted many tickets, and I don't hear from you until now? Why did you not call me YESTERDAY?"I have one ticket in my queue, and the lady was apparently irate that I had the nerve to e-mail her instructions instead of calling her, and demanded a phone call today. Like I said, it was a fun call. And she wasn't even on the affected computer, so I couldn't even help her today.

That's what's happening as of this moment. I asked if anyone had been identified yet, I was told no, and turned it into a "well come 4/23 (my last day), I'm going to have to focus 98%+ of my time on the new job, and the old job will have to be prioritized against it if needed."
All of a sudden, they're identifying someone today.
