What does it matter what the resume looks like if you have to re-enter all of the same **** information on the application site?

CDC just posted a bunch of jobs, including an IT Specialist announcement in Pittsburgh.

"Telework Eligible: No."

Alright then.

Just got a company-wide email talking about our financial situation and what they're doing to try to mitigate the hit we're taking. They said that decisions involving staffing are a last resort, however, they hope we understand that the crisis is still evolving and they may need to take action. AKA layoffs are coming. Great.

I got the axe today...I’m a vendor servicing things in grocery stores and hardware stores. All of our biggest accts stopped renting out to customers this week. My company told me they aren’t taking back company assets or my company vehicle in the meantime. Whenever store starts renting out rug scrubbers again I should get my job back.
At least I probably won’t get sick now....even taking every precaution I was in way to many places.

Them not arranging to take away the company vehicle makes me feel better, but there will always be uncertainty until things get better as a whole.

Thanks! My company is pursuing SBA loan assistance so they can participate in the payroll protection program.

Once our retailers resume renting these things I’ll be back on the job....I really hope it’s not too soon if ya know what I mean.
The last three weeks have weighed heavily on all of my associates and afaik none of us got sick.

Accepted a job to amazon. It will be a work from home position and I will be getting a 30% increase in salary and a 60% overall increase in total compensation from my current job. Haven’t told my current employer yet. I got tired of waiting for them to promote when they said they would.

If I stay with amazon for 4 years my total compensation will be over 100% my pay 4 years from now. .

Got tired of waiting for them to promote you? You've been there like a year, right?

Motivator, get it. Congrats. :thumb:

Haha yeah. When I came here I was a member of a team of 4. Now I’m the only person supporting the whole organization for my function. My team dealt with the entire maintenance capital budget of the company. So approximately 40% of the entire budget of the company. They said they were going to promote me to a manager or a managing consultant position because I was the doing the job of 4 people since everyone left months ago. They were supposed to do it 2 months ago now and allow me to hire a team, but they keep dragging their feet because I am maintaining everything. Though that’s because I am working about 10-12 hours a day (including weekends) maintaining my teams systems.

We are a Fortune 500 company, so maintaining all that is getting exhausting and if I don’t get out of this onslaught of work I’m afraid it will start affecting my personal life outside of work. Hasn’t affected my wife and I’s relationship yet, but I don’t want it to get to that point either, so I’m being proactive.
