The days of landlines being more reliable than cell phones are long gone.I probably would install a landline if it were a stipulation for WFH but I'd be pissed off about paying for it.

Yeah. And a lot of “landlines” are pretty much VoIP via their ISP.The days of landlines being more reliable than cell phones are long gone.I probably would install a landline if it were a stipulation for WFH but I'd be pissed off about paying for it.

An exchange that occurred today:
dod's boss: Hey, can you go to Korea for 2-3 weeks in June?
dodint: I can't. I have a vacation I planned a year ago to...Kansas. *sigh*

I don't know who the culprit was, but our office smells like cabbage from noon until I left the office at 6. I couldn't blame anybody down the hall from me since they were all of a field trip. There is a small kitchen behind me, which you would think was the epicenter of the cooked cabbage. Didn't smell that way since it seemed to get weaker once I got away from my hallway.Smells like feet real bad in my office. I've confirmed that it's not me.

Time Trials? As in, how quickly you can exit Kansas? The only thing I enjoyed about Topeka was the Combat Air Museum. The zoo was below average.

Probably because the giraffes can see to other, more interesting states.

Colorado's cool, though.

I'm on a P&C project at work. We have WebEx calls only. Like how am I supposed to be quiet. What a joke. Everyone is like whispering into their phones. Then I asked a question and realized I literally told everyone around me the entire project lol. I'm terrible. Also though there are like 350 'tented' people. At that point it's no longer privileged.

Of a WFH gig required a land line that’s be super weird. Most businesses are voice over the internet these days. The days of landlines being more reliable than cell phones are long gone.I probably would install a landline if it were a stipulation for WFH but I'd be pissed off about paying for it.

I didn't know that was a choice that could be executed in public...I won't even cut my nails in the gym locker room...that's strictly a home thing...

I just had lunch with a buddy of mine whom I used to work with. My old director turned in his resignation recently because “the environment in IS has become toxic”, which is ironic given that it all started with him. They’ll be better off without him, that’s for sure.

Nothing wrong with that. I’ve had chips for breakfast many of times, hah. It’s crazy to me to see people on their second bottle of pop by 8AM thoughThe same crew of people that eat potato chips at 10:20 AM?Who does that?clipping finger nails should not be practiced in a an office setting

I keep a pair of clippers in my drawer but I rarely use them. If I feel an edge on one of the nails, I'll clip it. They're basically there for an emergency. But sitting at my desk and clipping all of them in one sitting? I can't do it.clipping finger nails should not be practiced in a an office setting
I used to never think anything of it until I found out we had one guy in our department who would clip his regularly and little pieces of fingernails would go flying everywhere. Thankfully I worked in another building so I never had to deal with him, but the thought of walking into his cube and seeing clippings everywhere is disgusting.

I do not get the appeal of those items (period), much less in the morning (exclamation point)...
EDIT: **** it, I'm not going back and quoting it. I'm just gonna take this slightly longer route to explain my laziness...
