At what point is it acceptable post-interview to check on how the process is going?

I'm afraid of coming off as desperate/nosy, but I really want to know if I got the job.

Greeting and salutations from new job land. I am in the midst of day 4, with no real work in sight. HR training video after training video where I'm being educated on "diversity in the workplace" and have since learned I am in a protected class of "older working Americans."

Everyone is in a protected class...rendering it, effectively, useless selectively useful...

Those types of videos are an absolute hoot though...especially those 1980's/1990's production looking ones...

Yeah, but your military service has nothing to do with your disability, so accommodation denied.

I mean 40 and over is the "older work force" and has specific protection from discrimination? I literally had to watch a situational video where a man of 56 got called "grandpa" by his 35 year old boss, and taken off a project because he wasn't "comfortable on social media."

What a time to be alive.

OH - the best part was the portion of the harassment video where Ken the bumbling office idiot is passing a disabled Latino man in a wheelchair in the office. "Hey, Speedy Gonzalez! Slow your roll so I can talk to you!" I'm sorry, but I was dying

Our racial/ethnic inclusion video has an Indian woman, Hispanic woman and black man ripping on a white dude for being Irish.

They call him Mick and Paddy. It’s hilariously bad. I’ve never had to try so hard to stifle laughter before in my life.

I think I told this one once before, but at my work we had some lame 80's/90's style video...and towards the end of one, they're showing some montage of like supposedly offensive stuff...and they had once clip where on a bathroom mirror some wrote "Did you get a look at the new girl?" and there's a big, smiling pig face drawn under it that cracked me right the **** up...I mean, I nearly pissed myself...I'm carrying on laughing hysterically to the point that other people are joining me...

I thought for sure that would be it for me...but it caught me so off guard...

Yes, ol’ Ken ripped on Bobbi the transgender woman (“Hey Bobbi! How’s it hangin’?”), Cindy (“Sin-sin-Cindy!”), a black atheist (“Aren’t you people usually all ‘praise the Lord’?”)( ), a red headed guy off camera for being stupid and lazy, and the poor Cuban wheelchair guy. I have to say, I was at least entertained.

Honestly I've been in places where that would be deemed both acceptable and hilarious.

Scaled Agile/SAFE is quickly becoming my biggest pet peeve about software development. There is so much bloat, unnecessary overhead, and wasted time.

AGILE is never agile, and no company ever wants to implement true agile, so people just do waterfall and less work in two weeks and call it sprinting.

It is a frustrating thing when companies want to implement this a quarter of the way.

100% accurate.
Then one week into your 10 week PI, management comes along and changes the priority.

Then you go into a day long inspect and adapt 10 weeks later and dodint about it and complain about the sideways demand problem from earlier in the PI, and skirt around the true solution "Management sucks"

Then you rinse and repeat.

Agile is a fad, same as open office concepts. Unfortunately my company is currently implementing both.

We have an agile/scrum team or some noise...they're doing the only meaningful thing for this company, so I can't complain...whether it's the best thing, I have no idea...I don't work in IT...
