Haha yeah, I get that a lot...almost an uncomfortable amount, because it makes me think deep down it might be true because how much it is said...but I'm pretty sure I've taken all the reasonably necessary precautions to avoid that...that'd be a damn shame if it were true though...
Based on my normal flings though, that kid is going to have amazing hair and eyes...that's gonna provide him/her with more than anything I could have offered in terms of upbringing...

Got news my place of employment started a round of layoffs today. So I'll find out at 3 if I still have a job.

Woof...good luck.

Just had a staff meeting today and several higher-level positions were approved to be posted. So, I guess that it's a good sign for us as a whole, albeit short term.

After talking to a buddy that got laid off, I might be better off to get laid off. He got a 3.5k severance check, his remaining PTO, and a two week check. The addition money for being on unemployment would give me more money than I was making. Plus after only a year I am rather tired of the management.Woof...good luck.

That's why you ask for severance to be in small, unmarked bills. Or drugs

3500 would still be roughly 3 paychecks so not sure at all how that would work with unemployment. Rules might be different now with the rona

My previous employer gave 2.5 weeks per year of service, up to 68 weeks of pay plus vacation time payout for severance last year.

Has anyone seen a plan from their employers about the return to work? We're going green in this county tomorrow, and my company is bringing people back on site in 3 waves. My group has been back since we went yellow, but we're technically in the first group that starts back on Monday. Then another wave comes back on the 8th and the last on the 15th.
We still will be practicing distancing and wearing masks, but June 15th will be the first time in over 3 months where everyone will be back on site.

We're supposed to start phasing back to the office on June 1. I wouldn't be until phase 3 or 4. Social distancing, mask wearing, and no in person meetings. So my question is: what's the point?

My company as of now is still WFH until further notice even when we go green. That can change but I don't see us going back anytime soon. There is no need for it.

WFH is still optional. A maximum of 25% from each department can go in. So about 125 people over about 3 floors. This is in Allegheny county. Mask mandatory.

We're due back in the office on June 8 leading into Colonial week. I'll be at Sawgrass for the re-opening of the Korn Ferry Tour that week. Our plan right now is similar to what we did for our shows around the DJ/Rory/Fowler/Wolff match -- a TOTAL of 20-30 people in the building for the day. For productions like ours, it is as bare bones as you can get for staff on site. We'll still have people WFH for our shows now that we know the technology works and can be integrated into the studio. As of now, I'm slated to go to 3 tourneys prior to August. Whether or not I'm in the office in the other weeks will remain to be seen.

if I had your job it wouldn't be the tourneys that would make me nervous. it would be the travel to get there. We're due back in the office on June 8 leading into Colonial week. The travel part really doesn't bug me all that much or make me nervous. My first event is a drive so I won't be getting on a plane until early to mid July. I fly Delta primarily and if they eliminate middle seats and keep their pledge of 60-70% capacity, then it won't be all that cramped and people won't be on top of each other. I'll just put the mask on and stay away from people like I normally do.

I work near City Hall in Philly, and apparently people broke in and destroyed the first floor, so all access to the building is currently prohibited.
