The first patent that I'm the inventor is getting filed tomorrow. Kind of exciting.

btw... almost the entirety of my company has been out with this 5 day fever sick flu non-sense. It's gonna catch me eventually, right? Probably just as I hop on the plane for Florida this weekend.

It's being published for opposition? Or does it issue tomorrow?

A manager sends me a screenshot saying that she can't log into our applicant tracking system. In the screenshot, it says "we cannot find this email in the system: <email address>". Literally, you can see that her fcking email has a typo in it plain as day in the screenshot. If you were having issues logging in, wouldn't that be the first thing you would check? :face:

My annual enterprise team meeting has moved to Savannah this year; last year we had it in Biloxi and it was a complete **** show.

Sup, columbia. :pop:

(I'd be happy to have dinner/drinks with anyone in the area if you're down with it.)

Travel days are Monday and Friday, though. Last year they tried to have us travel on Fathers Day and they got their peepees smacked.

It's June 18-22nd, I'll throw out feelers in the end of May. It's the Monday after the 24Hr of Le Mans weekend and I planned to drive the D down to Kentucky to watch the race at the Corvette Museum. Going to be a rough Monday. Last time this happened I was delayed 9 hours in Pittsburgh because of rain or some bullshit, too.

Ok, so up until now, neither my wife or I have had to search for jobs (not counting high school jobs), but that may change soon for her. I know I've seen Indeed talked about in here (Indeed) and LinkedIn (which we have), but are there any other resources to use for job searching/networking?

Also does anyone know of a vacant medical billing position? ;)

I had to get a rush quote for the next 3 years for our primary server/client software. The budget analyst seemed prepared to make my life miserable, if it came in at above 5%.

Exactly 3%. Thank God.

Once the search starts, I'd advise putting your 'friends' social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc) on full private if it isn't already, and open up LinkedIn so your full deets can be seen by recruiters/HR/Shaf types.

Are there any professional associations for her field? That might be a good resource.

Going over performance reviews for my staff with my boss. One of my guys worked 3 hours more than his requirement for the year. Perfect. But no. The conversation played out exactly like the “flair” scene in office space.

You know it's up to you whether or not you want to just do the bare minimum. Or... well, like Brian, for example, worked thirty seven hours over requirement, okay. And a terrific smile.

I understand the cultural reference but shmneguin appears to be in a billable hour industry. If you hit budget there's no penalty to pay, otherwise you really crush morale of people who are already working pretty hard. Discretionary bonus, sure, do what you like but if you hit target there's nothing else to say there imo
