My wife has had the same AOL e-mail address since she was a teenage, so I'd hope not. I think it'd be pretty dumb to rule somebody out based on their e-mail domain, personally.

Huh, I did not see that response coming from you.
Yeah, I was mostly joking. The applicant's CV looks decent.

My first question would be about still dialing in on a 56k modem.

Ask them if they need to wait for lightning to strike their Delorean before they can go home.

Accurate in my case. Fortunately, I'm not looking for tech jobs. But that is pretty blatant e-mailism and I wonder how HR would handle that.If someone applies for a job and uses an AOL email, that's an instant no, correct? (I'm only sort of kidding)
We have a tech heavy job opening (lots of Excel manipulations, online platform interfacing etc) and having an AOL email address screams you aren't tech savvy. IMO.

I'm clearly dead to my boss now that I've resigned. Have only gotten 2 emails since, both very formal. Bite me. All you're doing is making me less helpful these next 2 weeks.
SVP finally called me today to discuss. I hate to admit it, but I went a bit scorched earth. I tried to hold it together, but I just let loose. I didn't say everything I could have, but I said a lot in 20 minutes. I tried to temper it with "we (my boss & I) just have different philosophies on adequate work distribution and accountability" but I'm sure he knew what was up.

One good thing with my new gig and it being a smaller company....if there is truly an issue and my direct manager can't help for whatever reason being able to talk directly with the COO or someone further up the chain easily and have them actually listen/help is kind of nice.

I sent a meeting invite out and included a few people I've never worked with before. One has an out of office/auto reply that said:
"I am stretched very thin with work at the moment and replies may be extremely delayed"
Lol wut

Found out my position/grade across the University is being moved from exempt to non-exempt.
I feel like this is a bad thing, based on my knowledge of the 3 factor test and what my duties are. Anyone else been in this situation before?

How people can put that in an official email and get away with it is absolutely horrendous. Receive emails and prioritize it on your own time. Sheesh.I sent a meeting invite out and included a few people I've never worked with before. One has an out of office/auto reply that said:

Lololol, someone didn't proofread a safety announcement at work and sent an email to all employees with mannequin spelled as manakin.

I'm working with one of the Tanium guys on some performance issues in our new W11 build, and I mentioned how Tanium is always bad, but this was atrocious. I think he took offense to that, because he demanded to see proof that his dumper ass app was causing performance issues. It took me all of 2 minutes to grab a report out of ControlUp showing that it was the largest offender - by a wide margin. On every single virtual machine. Every. Single. One.

We're transitioning to Tychon for endpoint security and, whoo boy, has it kicked over some rocks.

I'm not familiar with that product. One of my biggest pet peeves here is that we have a dozen agents installed on every device, and literally half of them overlap. Somebody just wanted one product, bought it, and now we have to use it even though it does the same thing as another. It sounds like we're finally being given the green light to reduce the number of agents, and I really hope that Tanium is one of the ones cut. **** garbage. We're transitioning to Tychon for endpoint security and, whoo boy, has it kicked over some rocks.
