New season....new thread.

My guess on how the season turns out next year.

2016 Schedule

Villanova W
Penn State W
Oklahoma State L
Marshall W
Duke W
Georgia Tech W
Virginia Tech L
Syracuse W
Miami (FL) L
North Carolina L
Virginia W
Clemson L

Play way too many good teams next year. Tough OOC schedule and so many good coaches in the ACC Coastal maybe a W I don't see and a surprise L, but otherwise a tough run while we wait for Narduzzi to have another good recruiting year.

I say 8-4 at best. 7-5 most likely.

So I guess Miles Sanders took down all the UPS references from his tweeter... Interesting

Hamlin is announcing live on KDKA the day before signing day on Monday, Feb. 1. His official visit to Pitt is that weekend, Jan. 29-30. He's down to Pitt, UPS, and tOSU. Would be an enormous get to beat out those two schools for the #126 player overall and #7 Safety in the nation. Add in one or two more guys they're still after and you're looking at a top 25 class, which is beyond any reasonable expectations for Narduzzi this early.

Pitt has the 34th ranked class currently according to Rivals (UPS is at #26, and UWV at #42).

Yeah, if we can land Hamlin, that would be huge.

We might be loosing Henry Miller though. He is visiting Miami this weekend and may get an offer from tOSU. I think if he gets that offer he is done.

The Pitt coaches told him that if he goes on a visit, he still has his offer, but if they find someone else he may lose it.

I saw that NAN, it sucks, but losing a Florida kid to the U, or even to tOSU -- I don't like it, but I can't get too bothered by it. This staff is in the game for recruits like that against the first or second most successful program outside of Alabama over the past few years. We were losing kids to Vandy under @columbia's boy Chryst.

Oh I agree. If you are going for top talent, you are going to be going against the blue blood programs and some higher profile programs. Which means you are gong to lose some.

I guess there are a few other 4 star recruits that visited or are visiting these last few weekends that Pitt is high on their radar. Should be a fun few days.

It appears that former Maryland commit Tyrone Hill wants to commit to Pitt but the scholarship numbers aren't available right now, so Miller's potential replacement is theoretically already in place.

LB Elias Reynolds is between Illinois and Pitt; DT Amir Watts is between Indiana, Minnesota, and Pitt; and WR Darnell Salomon is between Pitt and Temple. Would really hope Pitt can beat out those scrub programs for recruits.

Man, the PantherLair/BWI message board wars are really heating up.

It makes our bullying of the nitters here pale in comparison. We need to step it up.

I guess Franklin and the PSU coaching staff picked up the 4 main WPIAL kids (Hudson, Hamlin, Sanders and Matthews) up on a bus to take them on their OV today.
