Reading the comments Premier League fans put on FB is always fun. A lot would have to break right or wrong to not qualify for Europa Conference League next season. Some Hammers fans are out there saying- if we qualify for something that low maybe we should not even go. You serious right now? They've never qualified for European play twice in a row in my memory and you want to forego it?

Spurs fans were saying the same **** last year. Were rarely more than mid-table fodder for decades, qualified for Champions League for the first time all of 10 years ago, took five seasons to get back there, and then had a four year run of qualifying. We’re not talking about Real Madrid here. Shut up and go to your third tier Euro tournament and enjoy playing against weird ass teams.

Also West Ham went to Europa League in 2015-16 and 2016-17 so I guess my memory's not that good. To be fair especially the second was a short ass stay.

Other than this year, West Ham did not advance a SINGLE round in any of the cup competitions in the last 20 years. In 2006, they lost in the first round of UEFA Cup, and in both 2015 and 2016 they did not even make the group stage (they did not manage to get out of qualifying rounds in either of those years). In 2015, they apparently needed a penalty shootout to advance through one of the qualifying rounds against the team from freakin' Malta.

Their fans are quite bold to call Europa League "low" given the WHU record.
