You'll be glad to know that Portsmouth is mired in mid-table in League One.

What a choke job from Barca yesterday...the Italian commentary on Roma's third goal was fantastic:

I saw the notification come through on my phone that the score was 3-0 and I was like, wow Roma only managed one goal against Barca. Then I realized I was reading it wrong.

You had one job, Barca.... don't allow them to score three goals. They've only conceded 15 or 16 goals in League play this year, so that did not seem like a big ask.

Juventus has made up two of the three goals they gave up at home in the 1st leg...could the unthinkable happen again?

Let’s go JUVVVVVEEEE

They should continue to push forward...a Madrid goal means nothing really. Juve need two no matter what unless they go to a shootout

Well, the unthinkable is happening. 0-3 right now.

BTW, a question for "jerseys experts" - I always thought that teams are supposed to play with "dark" vs. "light" color jerseys. This match is "yellow" vs "white." I always though yellow = "light color." Did the rule change or does Yellow pass for "light"?

People have color TV now, no need for light vs dark. ;)

I’d use slightly stronger language, but yes... very sad.

Very interesting situation in the 1st Czech League. Before the winter break (16 rounds out of 30), FC Viktoria Pilsen lead by 14 points over Slavia Prague (46 pts vs 32 pts) after starting the season 15W - 1T- 0L. After the 8 rounds in the spring 2018 (i.e. 6 games still to be played), the lead is suddenly just 5 points (53-48)! If Pilsen manages not to win (BTW, Pilsen vs Slavia still to be played), it would be the biggest collapse ever in the history of Czech (or Czechoslovak) soccer.

(What makes things even more interesting is that for the first time in at least 20 years, the league winner will have a pretty much guaranteed spot in the group stage of the Champions League - with the incredible guaranteed UEFA money payoff that comes with it.)

Let's give the soon to be retired coach Wenger his due (not the higest budget to work with, yet near the top of the standings consistently) with the best Wenger-related clip (thanks to the genius of Mr. Strachan):
