there was an interesting sequence in the Scottish league

Rangers vs Partick Thistle. Rangers forward gets injured and the Rangers intentionally kick it out to get him looked at. The defense is planning on returning the ball back on the throw in but then that same player who got injured steals the ball from the defender and ends up scoring. It wasn’t clear if the injured player knew they were gonna return the ball since he was writhing on the ground and not watching the ball go out of bounds

The Rangers then confer and let Partick Thistle all the way to the goal without playing defense and letting them score (albeit the keeper played James Harden type defense)

Cool bit of sportsmanship

Something similar happened in the CL a few years ago. Donezk was involved, iirc ... forgot who their opponent was.

Nordsjaelland. Adriano scored. Donetsk let Nordsjaelland score afterwards.

What a win for saints. Needed that desperately.

18 points on the season… 6 of them against Chelsea.

Tuchel has three times as many premier league victories this season with Chelsea than Potter.

RIP saints season.

Oh well. There’s always next year against easier competition. At least Portsmouth won’t be there. But the team I loved as a kid, Sheffield Wednesday might.

I've never really given MLS a chance. I have largely ignored it for the past 29 years. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that Pittsburgh doesn't have a team. Without that, I don't feel an attachment to a team and without an attachment, I don't watch. I stopped watching English soccer when Sheffield Wednesday went down in 2000. Then I started watching EPL when it came to NBC and I picked Southampton as "my team".

Anyways... I was home Saturday night. Wife was out grocery shopping and getting some takeout for us. Daughter was watching Spirit and eating popcorn... I wanted to watch something while I was folding clothes so I flipped on LAFC vs Portland. I'll tell ya what... it was a fun watch. LAFC was up 3-0 and my interest was starting to fade, but then Portland scored one. And then another. And it was an exciting finish. I might have to pick a team to follow and start watching. Can you get every team's game somewhere like you can EPL and Peacock/NBC/USA?

MLS has a massive new broadcasting deal with Apple TV+. 30ish games a year plus some playoffs will be broadcast on Fox Sports, but everything is through MLS Season Pass, which is an additional subscription to just Apple TV+.

Apple TV has those rights which is new this season. one of my friends that's a huge ATL UTD fan was complaining about it. according to her, almost all the games are streaming now and if your local team doesn't happen to be one of the free games that night and you don't pay the subscription fee which is $79 if you already subscribe to Apple TV+ and $99 if you don't, then you are SOL on watching your local team.
bullshit, IMO and doesn't seem like the best way to grow your league.

Hmmm... in that case, maybe I'll hold off until the games become more widely available. It's bizarre to me that I can watch any EPL game I want to week in and week out with just my cable subscription, but for MLS I have to do all sorts of extra effort.
