There is only one Southampton fan here...

Lots of hype around this kid, he looked great last year on a terrible team, but he just couldn't seem to get it going with the Saints this year. I don't know if his style just doesn't fit the Southampton/Russel Martin style or what, but he just hasn't been effective and thus hasn't found his way much into the starting line-up. I don't like him leaving as he'd be good for depth, but how can you pass up a chance to be playing in the top flight for Juve vs 2nd tier Southampton who is heading to *checks notes* Rotherham this weekend.

USMNT shenanigans continue at Nottingham. Gio Reyna brought in on loan, which I guess is good because he needs playing time and isn't getting it at Dortmund, but is weird because he plays the same position as their best player and Nuno isn't one to go all out with attack. Ethan Horvath is off to Cardiff City, as their starting keeper had his contract, and therefore his season long loan, terminated by Arsenal. They're also buying goalkeeper Matz Sels from Strasbourg to supplant Turner. If the rumored numbers are correct, they'll have spent $21MM on three keepers this year and none of them are particularly good, while Spurs spent $20MM on Vicario.

Yeah that's not surprising, Turner has had a brutal year.

A total of six games will be hosted in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field, Fifa said. Five of those matches will be in the group stage, along with one in the round of 16.

The round of 16 game will be held on the Fourth of July, which will coincide with the 250th anniversary of America's founding.

Here are the dates for the 2026 Philly games:

June 14
June 19
June 22
June 25
June 27
July 4 (Round of 16)
If we get one of the Italy games, I'll be in attendance.

US having two games in LA is nonsense but whatever. Without giving too much concern over who I see, a buddy and I are trying to plan to see a match in Mexico and a match in the US, but I'm sure the travel and financial implications will be hefty. Round of 16 in Philly has caught my eye as well, so I might come camp in your backyard NTP66.

6 games for KC including two elimination games is nifty.
