I know quite a few of you guys enjoy soccer so thought a thread would be good.

I'm a Falkirk fan but enjoy watching the EPL although my English team is Leeds. Also enjoy La Liga.

Enjoy! :)

This site is definitely better without the soccer thread having "futbol" in the title.

I root for Hibs in Scotland, Portsmouth FC in England, Lazio in Italy, and Wolfsburg in Germany.

Can't wait for next weekend. Arsenal v. Liverpool, super high stakes. I think it'll finally be a statement that Arsenal are not who we thought they were, i.e., they're going to win this big game.

Should be a cracking game. Athough Leeds are my English team, I've always had a soft spot for Arsenal.

For a period in my late teens/early twenties I was on a bit of a "Irish" craze and I couldn't bear with Celtic so Hibs became my team. I've rooted for them for about twenty years now.

(I also lived in Portsmouth, OH, so naturally Portsmouth FC, who were in the Championship then, became my team)

I started supporting Lazio when Paul Gascoigne moved their in the mid-90's (when I was getting into Euro leagues).

My family is from the area around Wolfsburg, so that is how I came to support them.

I loved Italian football round about that time. I supported Parma when they had Zola and Asprilla up front. What a strike force that was!

Image For the sake of goal celebrations.

As for who I root for... I root for whoever. Played soccer growing up, so I just really enjoy watching the game. Currently a fan of Swansea, Southampton, & Dortmund, but moreso fans of players than teams. Kagawa's my favorite player atm.

This site is definitely better without the soccer thread having "futbol" in the title.
This site would be even better if you'd never made the switch, but I guess were both stuck now.

Yeah, I was trying out the whole not ignoring people on this site thing, but I see that your behaving like an dadhole wasn't based on environment.

Not sure if intentional, but that picture is extra lulzy for me.

COYS!
I like soccer. I love watching the USMNT and Akron, when I went there. They're always top 10 and won a national championship. I always found it tough to get into a pro team without having any real affiliation with. Like, if Pittsburgh had a team, I'd be all about it.. But I can't just pick a team and suddenly be a die-hard fan just because. However, with Yedlin, who went to Akron, breaking out and joining the Spurs, I think I found my team. Gonna try and get into it, we'll see..

I think I want to make a trip to watch an MLS game this summer. Have yet to go to one. Maybe a DC or Philly game.

I am flying out to Seattle in August to see a Sounders-Timbers match. I am pretty damned excited, sitting about seven rows from the field. My buddy is an ECS supporter, so we will probably pre-game with them before the match. Had an amazing time with the Sounders' squad when they won the U.S. Open Cup in Philly, got to meet a lot of them including doing a shot with Sigi Schmid :thumb:

It does look semi-intentional, if purely reaction based.
