Southampton here. EPL is the only league I religiously follow.

West Ham
Some help you three are. I start questioning my rooted in nothing casual fandom of Spurs and I get hit with an EPL bottom feeder, a 2. Bundesliga club, a recently promoted Segunda club, the Pitt clique throwing me another team that produces good players but never succeeds even when they are willing to spend money and always lets you down team THAT I WILL NOT FOLLOW IN MISERY WITH YOU, and my idiot buddy who swears to me that Swans are worth wasting my time giving a **** about.

Portsmouth and Hibs are my main two European clubs. I had a soccer coach who came up through Lazio's youth system before coming to the state's to play indoor in the 80's in America, so I keep an eye on them.

West Ham is perfect for you. Plus Declan Rice is the truth

You know what they say, you don't choose a club, it chooses you. Thanks, Arminia, thanks a lot.

Who do the soccer people in this topic root for?
AC Milan; you can join now as we begin our resurgence and regain our place amongst the giants of the game (I've been saying this for the better part of a decade).

Yeah... it wasn't really that I did a thorough investigation and landed on Saints... they picked me.

It's getting harder and harder to keep the faith in them righting the ship. So many missteps over the past decade.

back to back choke jobs in the FA cup... oh well. Now that's done, and today took some games away from starters who were suspended. On to Everton!

Wow! So this is how much it costs to secure Brazil National Team to play a meaningless friendly game with you:

Their initial demand:
$2 Mill in cash
100% coverage of all travel, accommodation, etc. costs
50% share of ticket revenues

Czech soccer federation considers it a "big success" that they were able to slash the final numbers by roughly 50%, so Brazil will play Czech Republic in Prague on March 26...

(Interestingly, Argentina would have been cheaper, but they refused to play in a stadium with less than 30,000 capacity, which the Czech Republic does not have. So, they were willing to play the Czechs only if the match were in Dresden!)

I know that no one besides me actually cares about Southampton on this site... potentially in this state, but I'm enjoying the Ralph Hasenhuttl revitalization of this team. They're attacking more and players are back to forms like we've seen them previously. I think my favorite is James Warde-Prowse. Under the past few managers, he was looking like that kid that was going to be a super star, but just flopped. Now he's playing with some aggression that I haven't seen from him in my entire time watching this team.

I'm also enjoying how much people are hating him after this interaction:

Anyways... like the direction this team is moving. Hope they keep moving forward.

Tottenham's indifference to the transfer market makes me feel like I'm rooting for the Pirates of EPL soccer.

I was actually talking to our new Director of Marketing yesterday. He noticed I was using a Man U mug (which I only use for oatmeal because my wife brought it back from Leeds). After we realized we are both Gunners supporters, I did mention your support for Southampton. He kind of raised his eyebrow at that, but definitely respected not following one of the big boys.
