Man City is just toying with Tottenham like they are a League One side.

It’s embarrassing. Yes, Man City is ridiculously good, but **** man Spurs need to look instead in actually maintaining possession or mounting an attack. A top 4 EPL team shouldn’t be employing Senators hockey. **** parking the bus. Sissoko is useless out wide and they’ve clamped down on Eriksen, so the only creativity in the middle is N’Dombele. Need to adjust.

Also... I was checking out the teams in the championship and league one and saw the league one table... two teams (Bury FC and Bolton Wanderers) with -12 points. I figured that had to be a typo or something. Nope. They were both deducted points for infractions:

https://www.efl.com/news/2019/july/efl- ... t-bury-fc/
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48257398

I had never seen that before.
Was cruising around some tables today and noticed that while Bolton is actually playing matches (0-1-2, only 12 points from safety!), Bury has been booted from the Carabo Cup and have had their first three matches of the League One scheduled postponed while trying to get their finances in order. Current deadline is Friday. If the EFL isn't satisfied with Bury's financing proposal they're going to be kicked out of the EFL, League One will proceed with 23 teams for the rest of the season, the number of relegation spots will be reduced to 3, and Bury will have to wait until the 20-21 season to apply to the FA to re-join at a lower level on the pyramid.

Whoa... I wish something, somewhere in America had a relegation system. I don't care what sport it was, I'd be all in.

I listen to the Guardian football podcast and they are 100% sure Bury is dead.

Their players haven't been paid since like April and Bolton is fielding a team of almost just academy players.

My brother is at a work training in London. He went to the spurs game today. Blame him.

LA FC was founded in 2014, but they didn't play their first MLS match until 2018. So their rise to popularity happened while we lived up north. Yesterday I found out that the rivalry matches against the Galaxy are referred to as 'El Tráfico', which gave me a chuckle.

Bolton got a two week extension, but Bury was buried. A couple late offers came in but nothing was concrete enough to avoid having to postpone additional games. The EFL had enough shenanigans and made them the first club to get booted since Maidstone United in 92.
