Our squads in the 1970's were better than this hot garbage.

What in the world is wrong with people?

We weren't supposed to get worse as time moves on.

The fact that they couldn't qualify for the world cup last time around tells you everything you need to know. There's something wrong with the development programs in this country. Fix the youth programs, and you fix the national team.

Well this isn't the "national team" for one. They pick a predominantly MLS squad for the Gold Cup. But that's part of the problem.. how about fielding the actual team that's going to be playing together in qualifying?

The ODP and prep programs are still run by money and politics to the point that good players are leaving for other sports.

The actual development is atrocious.

I still think the women should play on a slightly smaller pitch, It would greatly enhance the overall quality of the game.

Sad read. Definitely had too much heaped on him at an early age and needed a better support and mentorship system in place. Dude is totally delusional if he thinks he's getting another shot though.
