Sheffield Wednesday was my club as a kid. Would love to see them get back.

I convinced my mom to buy me the 96-98 away shirt in 99, and then they got relegated. So that was fun. They haven't been back to the big show since.

Did you use the word superb on purpose?

As an allusion to bird plumage? No, I'm not that clever.

In the 4 games that Southampton played Liverpool this year (2 EPL and 2 EFL cup), a total of 2 goals were scored. Both by Southampton. I don't know why they play so well against Liverpool, but if they could do that against other teams too, it'd be great.

Also, the salt from the Liverpool fans was glorious...

"Probably because they always have 11 cowards behind the ball"

"Yes it's partly our fault but those **** get paid millions just to stand in one place, occasionally hoof it out and pretend to give a ****. Those type of tactics are ruining football"

"Like I said it's meaningless in the end, but honor and respect are things I hold dear in the way I feel people should conduct themselves. It's a shame it will bother me moreso than it will the players + Forster who acted like high-school students today. Hell, I've watched highschoolers play with more maturity and humility than that team today."

"Southampton scored quite a few NTP66-points today with their display. Time wasting during first half. Really? Shady penalty shenanigans, and a generally thorough display of anti-football at a position with nothing to lose and nothing to gain."

"I hope Southampton fans realize how pathetic it looks and finally **** off talking like they're almost on the level of the top English clubs"

Looks like Thomas Tuchel might become available this summer.

the head of our department is coming in to visit this week and asked me out for drinks.

hes a huge Tottenham fan - can someone give me some things to talk about with him? I know they're having a good season. Ive played soccer my whole life and am pretty knowledgeable of the sport, I just don't follow the EPL enough to discuss it. Halp.
As Gaucho said... Arsenal sucks. Harry Kane is a God. If you want a hockey equivalent (forgive me @malkintent) they're the Washington Capitals of the league. Have/had some great talent, but no trophies to show for it.
add to this: dele alli is also god tier.

I've been in and out of the room, but did I imagine that Leicester score on a penalty shot?

Southampton wore jerseys today with the Scope (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scope_(charity)) logo on them instead of the virgin logo. Good on the team as well as virgin to allow this.

20/20, although Gamba Osaka was a lucky guess.

A few were just blind guesses.

17/20.

Missed Croatia, Romania, and Portugal.

The Panathaniakos/Celtic was a good trick one.

I fell for it... didn't think twice about it and just clicked Celtic.

Only reason I knew it was because I knew it wasn't Celtic's badge.

Kind of a boring championship sunday. The champ is known, relegation teams all known, top 7 pretty much set. The only exciting thing to watch for is Liverpool and Arsenal fighting for the last Champions League spot.

Yeah, not good for most fans. For me, I'll have the TV and two iPads going. Don't forget that City could still fall out (loss at Watford and 5 GD swing w/ Arsenal). I would love if either tiebreaker game scenario unfolds. That would give me the FA Cuo final and a huge tiebreaker game for some end-of-season excitement in a year that has mostly sucked as a gooner.
