I think they were choosing from the top 8 favorites as they (Tuttosport) and/or the betting odds see them.

Yeah, I was just expressing my frustration with the lack of additions.

FWIW, Sanchez/Ozil is 2/3 of a world class front line.

Definitely, and I think a Mahrez addition would push it further up the ranks. Lacazette is underwhelming at striker. I might even prefer Giroud. I would be worried that Lacazette seems like a slight more prolific, French Theo Walcott. Although he'd certainly be prefered to Chupa Akpom, Yaya Sanogo, and the aforementioned Walcott.... One of which will be starting against Liverpool as it currently stands.

Pogba to United for 110mm Euro plus esclator clauses. Pogba gets 20mm a year from United, 13 in salary and 7 for image/name rights. Reminder that Pogba signed on a free from United. Pretty tidy piece of business.

That's a lot of money for a guy who, imho, still has a lot left to prove. I guess that's my nice way of saying he's completely overrated.

I haven't seen him a whole lot, but he seems a bit overrated to me. He is such a physical specimen that there are times where he appears to be a player that just cannot be matched or neutralized in his impact. That said, I think those optics are probably why he's overrated. Same kind of thing as Viktor Kozlov being a top 5 pick and getting the chances he did. I remember going to two games--one during his Panthers years and one in the season after the lockout--and thinking that he looked like Lemieux. It's hard to not be infatuated when you see that.

He's amazing and you two are big dummies (and note that I hate Juventus with the fire of a thousand suns)

- Physically, as you say he is a specimen, though he kind of spaces out defensively at times.

- Maybe my favorite part of his game is his defensive dribbling. This is on Pirlo, Zidane, Riquelme type levels.

Players with his physical attributes rarely combine that with this level of creativity and touch:

You can look up any number of surface to air missiles in terms of finishing, but here, have a couple:

What even is this:

The guy one of the top 5-10 players on Earth right now for my money. Deschamps playing him too deep in the Euro Final shouldn't overshadow what he is (he's no DM).

I know he's good, he's certainly a great acquisition for United. But I'm not sure 5-10 is good enough to justify that kind of money ... then again, it's the Premiere League and United are desperate after two garbage seasons, so whatever.

23 years old and already a top 5 guy in the world IMO? I'll pay it gladly if I got it.

Good player and loads of potential but not a top 5 yet I don't think.

Rank these first choice forward lines:

For me:

Barcelona
Real Madrid

*small gap*

Juventus
It's interesting that these are the top three, and they are the only teams that run a 3 fwds. That speaks to the inherent quality of those players that they can do with three players what the others all need four.

Quitting on the Argentine federation is the sensible thing to do.
