I’m split on it. Ultimately I don’t care because it’s not my money but the whinging is irksome because it shows a lack of comprehension of basic economics
I think the men agreed just so the women would shut up. These guys make significantly more from their club teams than the women ever will. National team money is just a cherry on top.

I love soccer. I’ve been playing it for 19 odd years.

I will never like the idea of how a penalty kick is rewarded for a foul in the box, regardless of context (in terms of if there is an immediate scoring chance or not). I think it screws with the balance of the play since PKs are much more likely to be converted in than saved and a goal is so massive in typical soccer matches

also it encourages flopping. Genuinely the worst thing about soccer by far. It takes away from the game to me because of how sophomoric it is. No other major team sport has one tenth of the flopping issue

Dude dressed up as french fries being irate that a Croatia goal was disallowed by VAR for offside is one of my lasting images of this year's WC.

Canada can rest easy knowing that they'd destroy Morocco, Croatia and Belgium in hockey. This is embarrassing.

Morocco (potentially) winning a group with Belgium and Croatia is crazy

It’s definitely crazy but Morocco has some world class players. Hakimi, Ziyech, and Amrabat are all excellent

He shouldn’t even be playing. He’s not fit and has played like 3 games for Inter this year

Also, Belgium stinks because their defense should all be in a nursing home and they need to play a conservative 3-5-2

Gvardiol is a stud man. I’ve wanted Juve to buy him since the summer. That’s out the window now….for multiple reasons

Everyone wants him. He and Bastoni were primary targets for Tottenham in the summer and both elected to stay where they are. He's gonna end up at an oil club in six months.

Why are they playing the ball to Unai Simon? He’s worse that Donnarumma with his feet
