I'll have to give that a try as whatever glass cleaner we have did not get rid of crayon. We've gotten used to it but would be nice to finally not have a streak across the bottom of the screen.

I suppose a Magic Eraser would scratch the screen?

Yeah I'm not going near the screen with that stuff! Although it is time for a new TV....

And more - don't use that on anything that it doesn't apply to on the label. It will strip paint off a wall real quick, too.

:thumb: I've been using Sprayway for over a decade, on my TV/laptop/monitor screens, as well as fish tanks. It really does a nice job, and won't actually harm the non-glass surfaces like other chemicals can.

I need quick TV buying advice.

Just to make sure how much I care/know about TVs - I need to buy new TV because my 50 inch 15-year old(!!) Samsung DLP(!!) broke, and I am out of replacement lamps (plus I really don't want to deal with the lamps anymore).

So:

The new TV will be 50 inch again, and I am debating between:

Samsung - 50" Class 7 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-50 ... Id=6401738

and

Samsung - 50" Class 8000 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-50 ... Id=6452997

and

Toshiba - 50" Class C350 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/toshiba-50 ... Id=6458644

Any advice highly appreciated...

(I remember when 36" was big.)

Tomas, rtings.com is your friend here. I’m not familiar with any of those sets, but you’ll be able to find detailed write ups and testing on all of them, I’m sure. I’m a big Sony guy now, but I’ve read that Samsung’s latest panels are back to their old, superb quality.

I know a few people here also have Ring doorbells, etc., so here's some new changes coming in July: https://blog.ring.com/products-innovati ... neighbors/

All positive changes... except for the new subscription rates. That's a big jump.

Probably the Basic plan, as the others are relatively useless unless you have a Ring Alarm system.

We do have the ring alarm system. I tried logging on to the ring website and looking at my account and it must be having issues right now.

Oh well..not like I'm going to change anything anyways.

Interesting. If this works in Boston, I could see other markets go in this direction. That price is a little steep though. What would you pay for Penguins and Pirates games? I would pay $10-15 a month, if the Pirates are contending in any other than a top five pick.

As long as I can start/cancel at anytime, I'd only pay during hockey season. And I'd go up to $20/month for that.
