I have an iphone 7plus laying around. I assume there’s an aftermarket for these? And if so do I need to “unlock” or anything? Or just Reset it?

If you’re selling it, unlock it via your current provider’s website. Usually takes 24 hours.

apparently nbc and Fios can’t agree on a contract so I don’t get nbc anymore which is great. They sent this sob email about how the prices are going up too much for them to agree which really came off poor. Their prices are too high but I pay it because it’s part of the service. seems really myopic with people cutting services. Pull one of the major outlets.
We are committed to providing you with the best value in entertainment. As you’re probably aware, Fios TV programming is supplied by various content providers, and we must periodically renegotiate our agreements to continue offering their programming.
We are negotiating with the owner of the channels listed below, who has demanded we pay increases of over 70%, so you can continue watching their channel. This is like the price of gas going from $2.99 a gallon to over $5 overnight.
We’re working hard to come to a fair agreement with the content provider before it expires on January 1st. We hope that the owner of these channels will not blackout this programming.

Looks like it’s only affecting Pittsburgh and Syracuse? No notice for me, and I’ve still got NBC.

Yep no NBC here as of today.
It was weird cause last night I saw notices that DirecTV customers were losing channel 4 as of today.
Its all annoying BS. I don't watch anything on NBC really but it's still stupid.

And the email they sent came off really really poor.
I enjoy FIOS and won't switch but it's still a bad look.

Since it's a network, you could always grab a digital antenna.
For FIOS, since it's only Pittsburgh and Syracuse, my guess is it's an affiliate problem and not an NBC Universal problem? In theory, couldn't they just push out another local affiliate to the affected regions instead?
How is it legal to blackout a broadcast network? Cable network, sure, but I thought broadcast/over the air was protected.

I get all of my locals OTA with an indoor antenna. I’m looking into one of those boxes with streaming and a DVR.

I think Fox News was dropped on some providers recently as well. Seems like one network or another is being dropped a provider almost weekly.

I used my new Fire HD 10 for movies on my flights last week, and the very first thing I noticed was how badly it needs an anti-glare screen protector. It was practically a mirror, even with all nearby shades closed.

Films are quietly disappearing from Disney Plus
Movies like Home Alone and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides have vanished from the streaming service

That’s disconcerting.

D+ is also apparently hemorrhaging subscribers post-Mandalorian.

Well, Disney, apparently.

Marvel shows start this year, so they'll probably end up coming back anyways, lol.

The films that left (which sadly also includes The Sandlot), left due to legacy licensing deals. They'll be back once those deals expire but it's pretty nuts that Disney didn't plan better, but that's where we're at.
Re: subscribers leaving, there have been reports that the MCU shows are getting moved up in the schedule. I also think this is the new reality of multiple streaming platforms. It doesn't make sense to always sub to every platform. Renew and cancel based on what you want to watch.

This is precisely what I'd do if I paid for services like D+. I torrent The Mandalorian and use my parents' Netflix account.Source of the post Renew and cancel based on what you want to watch.

Finally put up my indoor antenna, put it in the attic. (GE Pro attic mount, $40 on Amazon). Pointing around 322degrees NNW from my location.
Did a search and got around 36 channels. Mind you I'm between 30-45 miles from the biggest cluster of transmitters. Some are closer but scattered, so the heading I have it set at gave me the most.
Ended up getting the 4 main ones and a bunch of other garbage. But Fox53 was not great.
Had an amplifier from an older indoor panel antenna, so I hooked it up right before the 4 way splitter input and now I have Fox clear as well.
Is there something that will allow me to feed the antenna channels through a streaming device (e.g. Apple TV) to make channel/app surfing easier? Right now I just have the antenna feeding a 4 way splitter and each TV hooked up via Coax. So I just switch the input.

Amazon makes a box that does that but it retails for like $299.

Plex has something like that as well, plus a DVR.

Also I have a bit of a conundrum, as when I built my house I had them put the "main" TV cable wall plate about a foot off the ground, and the wall mount is obviously much higher. I think I'll be able to fish a cable through the wall as it's an interior wall and no insulation, but still, woops.
