For my Shield inquiry, this is solely for full BR/Atmos rips.

Yeah, sorry, I was just rambling, ha.For my Shield inquiry, this is solely for full BR/Atmos rips.
I was debating between a shield and an Apple TV last year. Read tons of reviews and the Apple seemed to fare just a smidge better so I went with it. No complaints.

I don't, but have gone back and forth on them. I guess I'm waiting to see what the chromecast box top with remote is like first.Anyone here have an Nvidia Shield? I'm debating whether or not it's worth grabbing one solely for 4k/Atmos videos that I download, since my TiVo Roamios are limited to 1080p/DD.

Expandable storage alone puts it over the Apple TV for me, plus Alexa compatibility. I'm just having a hard time justifying $200 for something I'll use only every once in a while.

Anything that runs Alexa is on sale at Amazon today. I picked up another Firestick 4k so I can upgrade the one in my gym that doesn't have TV controls.

For the first time in 6 years, my FiOS package went up in price, from $129.99 to $142.99.

We're thinking about moving our Apple Music, TV+, and iCloud storage over to the bundled Apple One plan. With those other services, it adds News+ which has hundreds of magazines and newspapers for free, including our newspaper in Columbia and HHI (and WSJ, WaPo, Rolling Stone) and so on. Apple Arcade is also part of the subscription, but I don't even know what that is.
The issue is that I pay for Music and TV+ through my Apple ID; my wife pays for iCloud 200GB through her Apple ID. We have Family Sharing setup as well, so we have access to all of that content (and my kids and mother in law as well).
Will she lose the iCloud data if she cancels it? Again, we share that 200GB between all of us.

Yeah, YT and YTTV are experiencing outtages globally. The comments on downdetector are blaming Trump.

Great, now my YT is down.
It's weird, cos you can load a video and track the mouse along timeline and see the preview image of that point of the video. But playback won't start.

I canceled cable TV and switched to Youtube TV earlier in the year. When they raised the price I decided to check with Xfinity, who I have my internet and landline through. I added cable, they gave me a faster internet speed, and my Xfinity bill went down $10 a month, from around $155 for two services, to $145 for three. I'm locked in at that price for the next 2 years.

And incidentally, **** Roku then.
https://www.bloomberg.com/amp/news/arti ... tv-devicesAT&T Inc.’s WarnerMedia reached a deal with Amazon.com Inc. to make its HBO Max app available on Fire TV devices, ending a standoff that had curtailed the growth of the new streaming video service.

In the last year or so, I bought two pairs of higher-end (but not super high-end) closed-back headphones around the $200 price level: the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro and the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x. I originally wanted closed headphones for noise-reduction purposes for wearing at work, and I've been using both pairs now at home. My thoughts in case anyone is in the market for nice headphones:
Sound. Both sound great. To me, the Beyerdynamics offer slightly brighter mids and highs, while the Audio-Technicas might have better bass. Verdict: Draw.
Features: The Audio-Technicas have a removable/replaceable cord that can be swapped out and easily replaced. They came with a straight cord and a coiled cord. The Audio-Technicas also fold compactly. The Beyerdynamics have a fixed cord that would require soldering to replace, and they don't really fold up for storage or transport. Both came with interchangeable 1/4" and 1/8" plugs. Both sets of headphones are sturdy and well-made. Verdict: Audio-Technica.
Comfort: Both sets have comfortable earpads and fit well on my big melon, but I like the suede pads on the Beyerdynamics better than the smooth leather pads on the Audio-Technicas. Also, the circular earpads on the Beyerdynamics do a better job of resting on my head and not touching my ears better than the oval pads on the Audio-Technicas, which are smaller. I find the Beyerdynamics more comfortable to wear. Verdict: Beyerdynamic.
With comparable sound, I've been going with the greater comfort of the Beyerdynamics and using them more often, both for music and for video gaming. I use the Audio-Technicas when riding my exercise bike because the smooth leather earpads are more resistant to sweat. Either is a great set of headphones, but I would recommend the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pros over the Audio-Technica ATH-M50xs, especially if you have bigger ears.

I want a pair of headphones for music. I've been looking at jbl 650, but those sennheiser looks nice as do the beyerdynamic , but I want wireless for outside with the option for wired for the better sound as well. I figured there will be some decent black friday deals coming soon.

Any good sound bar recommendations? Preferably best value ones, don't want to spend too much.
