I just used some pattern videos I found on Youtube last time I bought a new TV.

Was the THX disc WOW! ever updated to 4k? Or even Bluray for that matter?

Our new house came with a JVC LC23636-004A outdoor TV. But it not come with the IR remote for said TV. Thing looks 10+ years old, and searches for that model number+remote yields results that don't actually ref that model. We literally just need it for on/off and volume [the remote for the PS4 controlling content is Bluetooth and will not work with the TV). Football season is just around the corner, and we want to watch while grillin' and chillin'.

I'd just replace the tv.

$15 remote.... $5,000 TV
Let me stew on that a bit. (Not that I haven't already used our dire situation to argue for a new TV)

So get a universal remote. They have a programming sequence that will match it to your JVC.

Are you certain that’s the actual model number and not something else? I refuse to believe that Google has never seen it before.

Who cares? It's a completely moot point for his needs.

Because I’m curious, dodint.

That's the goal, but because it's an older set I don't know if the manufacturer codes will be available. I don't know if JVC even makes TVs any longer. So get a universal remote. They have a programming sequence that will match it to your JVC.
I could be wrong, but here's a pic of the front panel:Are you certain that’s the actual model number and not something else? I refuse to believe that Google has never seen it before.
Can't access the rear of the set without dismounting it from the wall bracket.

Transcription error, bad paraphrase.
Anyway, any generic universal remote will work. I promise. If it doesn't I will reimburse you the cost.

Do some phones have IR emitters? iPhone is just RF, I think.

Most remote apps use wifi to send the commands/signals.

On their quarterly earnings call, Disney execs confirmed a pricetag for the bundled streaming offer they'd teased while announcing Disney+. While that service will cost $7.99 per month on its own, this push to bring cord cutters back into their fold adds on ESPN+ and ad-supported Hulu for $12.99 per month. That's about $5 less than subscribing to them separately, and it will be available as soon as Disney+ launches on November 12th.

I didn't realize it was coming this soon. That's a good deal.

That’s phenomenal. I was definitely going to get Disney+, had no interest in ESPN and Hulu...but for $13? Seems like a no brainer.

OK. Can someone help me out here. W/O reading through the whole thread, can someone answer the following. I'm looking to maybe cut my cable. What I want is:
1) Fast internet
2) Major networks/cable channels
3) ATT Sports (to see Pens and Bucco games)
4) Eventually get Disney/Hulu/ESPN plus
5) Netflix
What is the best way to get the combination of those for the most reasonable cost. I need to show this on at least 3 televisions in the house.
Is the best route YoutubeTV, Hulu live, or go with something like Verizon Fios (and still have to pay for my Netflix).
I currently have a Roku. Seems the biggest stumbling block is ATTSports.
Help!

no streaming service has ATTSN. You can either:
-Use reddit mlbstreams and nhlstreams
-Use a service like yonder.tv to mask your location and buy NHL.tv and MLB.tv (this is what I do). It's $30 a year and I'm positive there's a way to do it for free but it was very easy for me so whatever

I just downloaded all 23GB of Godzilla: King of the Monsters in 4K HDR only to remember that my TiVo maxes at 1080p.

Thanks. My biggest worry is cutting, but end up spending more than I do now because I want various pieces.no streaming service has ATTSN. You can either:
