I still have my 42 inch Toshiba that I bought from Circuit City in 2007 for 1,400. Keeping it out of spite of today's prices until it dies.

I hear ya. Have a 46” 2008 Samsung LCD. Paid about $1150 for it.

Still great.

They tried to sell it but couldn't find any buyers. I like the service a lot, and have had it for exactly one billing cycle. Looks like I'll be turning to YoutubeTV now.

So...signed up for Disney+ when they were doing 3 years for $149 or whatever.

Now, as we get close to launch, I see it’s not available via FireStick. Any cheap workarounds?

So HBO Max and HBO Go/now are the same price ($15). I'm assuming you'll get all the live HBO shows on the Max app as you would with go/now, right?

Oh, it looks like every Warners property will be on HBO Max. That's...significant.

isn't that through AT&T only though?

Nope.
Existing HBO subscribers and about 10 million AT&T customers will get the new service for free, which will give it an eight-figure start in the race to close the gap with Netflix.

Every other article I've seen says it's AT&T only - for now at least...
AT&T will bundle HBO Max with some unlimited wireless plans as well as certain "premium" home TV and internet plans to promote the streaming service. It will work with other cable and satellite companies to get them to offer the HBO Max service for their customers too.

Meh. I get HBO for free now with my unlimited plan & DirecTV. If that doesn’t turn into Max, I guess I won’t be getting it.

Are they giving away 1 year free streaming with purchases yet?
