I'm installing this now on the C2 in my master bedroom, but you may want to hold off if you use your C2 for gaming. There are a few bugs related to Game Optimizer.eddy wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2024 2:04 pm for those that have 2022 LGs, you can download the new beta webos through end of the month

Hmmm yeah I'm not into beta testing on high use things. I'll let some other dummy work out the kinks first.

The ESPN app is now available in LG webOS. **** yeah!

That's nice. I think I'm losing Hulu with ESPN because of password crackdown in March. I still have all the ESPN channels through Xfinity package, I wonder if I can log into ESPN through Xfinity credentials?

You can. You'll just be able to access what's on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3 though. None of the ESPN+ stuff.

https://ring.com/support/articles/odtb0 ... -March2024Starting March 11, 2024, the price of Ring Protect Basic will change from $39.99/year to $49.99/year per device (plus applicable taxes).
Not a fan of this.

Price incresases suck but that's like less than a dollar a month or so... I can live with that for as invested in the ring ecosystem as we are and how well everything works.

$40 feels like a deal. $50 doesn't. It sucks but it could be much worse.

I didn't hate the LG WebOS by any means, but ever since swapping to an Apple TV box ...couldn't imagine going back to it.

I will only be using the OS for ESPN. The remote has buttons for Prime and Disney+ (and Netflix, if you subscribe), so I never have to go into it. YouTube for me is all cast from my iPhone, too.

I use WebOS for just about all my streaming needs, never had an issue. Have a Roku ultra and chrome ultra as backup, but rarely use them. I'll be purchasing the new Apple TV box when it comes out this year.

I bought a new chromecast 4k a few months ago, and that will be going into a box now.

Re: Ring, I think I'm going to give serious consideration to a Eufy video doorbell now. All on-prem storage, no subscriptions.

The lack of continuous recording is a big one for me to ignore, unfortunately.

Cost is a reasonable justification for not subscribing. It is not a reasonable justification for piracy.

Arrrr, that's the definition of piracy, matey.

I'm going to download all popular Netflix and Disney content just to seed it for others now.

You don't want to pay for it, don't watch it. It's not a difficult concept.
