I've had the C1 for over a year without any issues. I think you're good.

May... lol, you are quite the optimist.

I think the Outback may have stood a better chance of smuggling TV in back. I mean that thing was able to fit an arcade game in back without moving the seats.

The Q5 doesn't really stand a chance on oversized items. With the seats down, I'm generously listing it as 70 inches from back of the front seats to the hatch. The TV is 47 x 81, so... yeah, not even close.

Just put it on a skateboard and tie it to the back of the car

It's times like these I really miss my van. We moved the entire contents of our house in it when we left Allison Park. It took several trips but everything fit.

U-Haul also rents them, like $20 plus mileage.

Yeah a 10 ft box truck is around $20. I looked into that but I was able to juuuuuuuust barely fit my TV in the Rav4.

I have a Home Depot down the road from my office, so I could probably have this loaded into van, dropped off in my house and have the van back to Home Depot in under an hour.

I thought this was a pretty interesting video on why dialogue in modern movies/TV is so freaking hard to decipher.

Personally, I think the biggest problem is still mumbling actors.

I went to cancel Paramount+ today and they offered me another free month. This is now month 6 or 7 of free Paramount+.

Westworld, The Nevers (All 12 Episodes) and Other HBO Max Castoffs to Stream Free on Roku and Tubi
https://tvline.com/2023/01/31/cancelled ... ase-dates/

In television, the money has always been in syndication. WB/Discovery just created the streaming version of syndication. I hate FAST services but I understand why they're viable. It just confirms what we already knew: the glory days of streaming are behind us.

both the Showtime linear pay-TV channel and the premium tier of Paramount+ will be rebranded as Paramount+ With Showtime
Hell of a name. Keep the $9.99 price tag and that's not a bad deal at all. Or, you know, keep giving away free months. That works too.

Wonder how many meetings were held to decide on that name.

Showtime pulled a bunch of their cancelled series, like American Gigolo and American Rust. Probably will end up on another streaming service like what happened to those HBO shows above.

American Rust was cancelled a while ago. I think IMDB (or whatever their streaming service is called) picked it up though.

Re: Westworld and the ad supported streaming. F that. I also just learnedd that Disney isn't releasing most of their movies to physical media any more. I didn't really care because I don't watch much Disney content and didn't catch on until I was trying to buy Barbarian on UHD. It's like they're trying to force collectors into piracy.

Verizon bill went up $19/month thanks to higher package rates for TV and higher taxes. I think it has been posted in the past, maybe by @dodint ?, but does anyone have a decent site to compare all streaming options right now, right down to the channels they provide? Want to do my own due diligence here.

This was the one I found helpful back when Vue collapsed and I needed a new solution, they keep it updated: https://www.cnet.com/tech/services-and- ... -compared/

Hmm, nevermind. Found https://www.suppose.tv which seems to do a good job. Also shows me that I'd have to subscribe to multiple services (YTTV + Philo) to get most of what I'd want, and I'd only save about $5. Lame.

Okay, I thought it was the CNET page. I had checked that out earlier. The one I linked in my previous post allows you to select the channels you want and then compare all providers - even showing you how to stack them to get what you want. I guess if it ever came down to it, we'd have to see if we could just be okay with losing certain channels and switching to a single provider.
