Thanks for the tip on their app. While I wasn't able to make use of the last sale, their app at least let me use Apple Pay for the 5% cashback on Discover card right now. Ordered burnt ends from some BBQ place in NYC since they offered free shipping and seem to have really good reviews. Here's hoping, at least.

My new TV excitement was short lived. Before we could convert joy into reality, my Crappola MkII laptop s**t the bed yesterday (battery blowout, damaged other internals), and that had to be replaced. Currently in the process of setting up a new laptop. Yay.

Do yinz happen to know if you have a red card does the 5% discount apply to the amount you use the gift card for on an order also? Eg I have a $100 purchase and use a $50 gift card. Do I get $2.50 or $5 off my order?

Nope, no extra discount when paying with the GC. The amount charged to the Red card will get the usual 5%.

Nope, no extra discount when paying with the GC. The amount charged to the Red card will get the usual 5%.

OK. So the 10% off is still good. But I can't turn it into 15% off. Darn

I have had it for free for a few years now thanks to Chase continually changing their benefits on multiple cards. I think mine expires sometime in 2024, and by then I expect a new DD benefit to arise from another card. Even if it doesn't, I use it enough that it's worth the monthly fee for me.

My FIL gave us a $200 gift card to get stuff for the kids for Christmas from him. It's from ebay. I don't even know what to buy. Anyone ever buy store gift cards off ebay lol. At least turn this into something usable.
