The 2017 9.7" model. Looks like Fred Meyer has them for $229. :thumb:
Were you able to get one?

No, we don't have a Fred Meier near us. We ended up getting them from Best Buy for $250 shipped. Yes, we got two.

My wife picked me up some really nice pullover sweater type fleeces and a couple vest fleeces with a zipper for next to nothing at Belk on Friday.

My kids wanted them, each have one at school, and have been using iOS for years. Hundreds of dollars tied up in iTunes gift cards, music, and apps as well.

I tried pushing Android tablets, but no deal.

I am looking at second Gen that's $249. It routinely goes to $199.
The Ring Pro is one of the Deal of the Day items on Amazon @ $199: https://www.amazon.com/Ring-Doorbell-Ex ... B01DM6BDA4

Yea I bought it for $199 on Friday at Lowes. Happy with it, with the exception of the night mode, that apparently doesn't work because of a firmware bug. I have 30 days, so if it doesn't work by then, it's going back.

Lowes has the original google home for $79, and you can use the $15 off $75 coupon generator to bring it down to $64. Scratch off one gift for my 11 year olds.

How has your experience been with your Ring doorbell? I'm considering getting one.

I've had no issues. At all. It wired in fine, and I have a wireless extender near it. A lot of people complain on reddit about slowness - but I think they're dumb, they're internet sucks, or they expect a perfect solution that just isn't true.

For what it is, it's totally capable of everything I need it to be.

Good to know, thanks. I'm looking at the Pro because of how small it is, and I have no worries about the network, as my router would be 15' away. I'm trying to get these knuckleheads to give me a clear answer on video storage if I elect not to subscribe, but they keep dancing around the details.

There is no video storage if you don't subscribe AFAIK. You only have the ability to see live feeds - and it doesn't save anything after the fact. That being said, the price for storage is minimal - I think like $30 a year.

Yea - it's not terrible, I did the first free month, and tried it without saving - I just decided to do it. I could LIVE without saving video, but that's like it's main use.

I may go back to just using it is a camera, we don't get that much foot traffic - but for safety, it's really all we got on the outside.

$30 a year is pretty cheap. I wonder if that makes it available for download and what the format would be if possible.

I'm guessing that it's all mpeg4. The Ring Pro actually allows you to use the 5GHz band for wireless, which is a huge plus for me. I've experimented with other wireless outdoor security cameras, and they have all been absolute trash because of the 2.4GHz limitation, IMO.

:thumb: I got the pokemon game and ball, just waiting for the switch now. Hopefully doing things backward this late won't screw me. It's for Christmas for the kids.

20% off at Tuft & Needle on BF. I am a huge fan of their pillows. Have heard excellent things about their mattresses, but not sure if I'd pull the trigger on that.
