I'm beginning to believe that you might actually be Mr. Money Mustache.

I wish I were a 30-something retiree like him, but alas, I am not. Working on it, though.

Not that it matters now, but that whole "$300 max per household" limitation was a bluff. My wife got 10% off her gift card after I had already purchased a $300 GC myself (same REDcard).

Several Black Friday ads have been leaked and are on www.bfads.net

So far, I see Target, Best Buy, Sears and Kmart. Wal-Mart can't be far behind.

Lots of 4K TV's this year for good prices.

I doubt I'll do any BF shopping this year unless Target offers gift cards at a 10% discount again.

Home Depot's appliance deals still can't be beat, from the looks of it.

I think I'd like a streaming box, but I'm not sure which to ask Santa for. Nvidia Shield is the obvious answer, but thats out of my inlaws gift price range.

Gonna keep my eye out for Roku deals I guess. Maybe a Xiaomi Mi Box

Here's hoping 4k discs go on sale. Ridiculous how expensive they are.

If you're interested in Ring look into Korner. Not the exact same feature set, but less expensive and something I'm very happy with. Plus I think they're based out of Pittsburgh now.

Hmm that's interesting, but I have too many windows in the front of my house that'd I'd need it for. Wasn't huge into home security - honestly the video aspect of being able to capture faces, see when packages get dropped off, etc.

Ring has a deal @ Bestbuy for $99, but the comments in the slickdeals thread said that's not a good price and that it goes lower occasionally.

Only other things I have on my list are a Nest Cam and an Abode Security system.
Are you looking at an indoor Nest cam? If so, Amazon recently released their own indoor cam that's nearly identical to Nest, but cheaper: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C4UY0JK

I still can't believe how few quality cameras there are in the residential marketplace that offer analog zoom. I wound up buying 3rd-party lenses for my Foscam as a result.

Thanks! Any idea what this integrates with that isn't Amazon?

Not sure, honestly, but it looks like all it interfaces with are Amazon devices/apps. I couldn't find any info on a browser viewer, so that's a big minus to me. I'd want to be able to view the webcam on any device, personally.

And the cloud security aspect of things too. My main system will be an Abode. I am not sure if the Nest Cam does all I want it to or not. But I also have an outdoor surveillance system also.
