The Fire TV Cube is also $59.98. I bought mine during the Prime pre-sale for $90, so this price is killer. The device is outstanding, and they’re continually updating the software and releasing new, useful features.

I'm looking for a streaming option that supports directv now. As my roku stick doesn't seem to support it. What's the best option? I have an Apple TV already

Get a fire stick. It’s probably going to be on sale friday. Earlier this summer on prime day we purchased one for 19.99. It works fine with DTVN, but the AppleTV works the best imo.
Edit:The new 4K fire stick is on sale for 34.99.

I bought a few things this Black Friday, but spent less than $40 in total. My parents need new phones, and it looks like the best deal for them is actually to upgrade to iPhone X’s, as Verizon has them for $400 off through tomorrow. So I figure I’ll check out AT&T’s deals. The only one worth mentioning is a buy one get one deal on basically any iPhone above an 8. Okay, that’s actually a good deal if you need to upgrade two phones. I read the fine print and you have to add a new line to your account to get the deal. **** clowns. I might have jumped on that deal if that stipulation was not present.

I'm really debating on getting one of the Moto phones. I'm just not sure what line - G, X, etc. etc.I bought a few things this Black Friday, but spent less than $40 in total. I'm month-to-month on grandfathered unlimited using ATT. I pay too much but it's nice not having to watch data usage.

I kept my unlimited plan for a hell of a long time, then decided to just bite the bullet. Saved a bunch of money, and honestly, haven’t even come close to my data limit even before the rollover.

Big delivery day for the VLB household. I’m expecting something around 7-8 packages from amazon.

If you run the report on AT&T's website, how much data have you been using for as far back as it goes? I actually called AT&T's Retention department this afternoon (611 from your cell, and say 'loyalty' when prompted) to talk to them about my plan and an upgrade. They offered to move me to the old school Unlimited Choice plan for $25/month more than what I was currently paying so that I could get $450 off each iPhone I wanted to upgrade to. The Unlimited plans are the only ones not subject to the $20 line access fee increases when you go on a 2-year contract.Source of the post I'm month-to-month on grandfathered unlimited using ATT. That plan wasn't going to work for me, so I switched to the retention Mobile Share Advantage 6GB plan, which drops my bill about $20/month. I bit the bullet and just bought the iPhone XS that I wanted, and they waived all of the activation and priority shipping fees. I don't like spending this much on a phone, but after seeing the XS in person, man that much screen real estate is nice. My 6S just feels so dated next to it.

We both use like 15gb. I'm fairly certain that we could reduce that if we actively tried. If you run the report on AT&T's website, how much data have you been using for as far back as it goes? I would call them up anyway to see what options they might have for you. They have other MSA plans, though I'm guessing that one of the retention unlimited plans would be better for you. I was paying about $90/month, but once the phone is paid off, that's going down to just over $70. Keep in mind that I also have a 22% FAN discount thanks to my former employer.

My father in law is a director for AT&T so we have been grandfathered in on the unlimited plan for a long time. We pay considerably less as a part of his family plan than we would for our own plan because of the discounts, etc.
Fairly often I find the LTE coverage to be considerably faster than my WiFi at home, which is frustrating but is a big reason why I leave the WiFi off a lot. I do have coverage under an AT&T hotspot at work which I stay connected to during the day.

Same shaf. that's why I like the unlimited.
We pay $170 a month for two phones on unlimited everything. But, I'm rocking a Galaxy S5 and my wife an iPhone 6s which we bought outright.

1. If you're getting faster speeds with LTE than your home wifi, then your router is **** and needs to be upgraded
2. You can probably do much better than $170/month if you call AT&T's retention line. Costs nothing to ask

Yeah the wired connection to my desktop is fantastic but the WiFi lags in and out at times. The one I got was a pretty well-rated one on Amazon (Netgear), and I do try and reset it every other week or so.1. You 10000% need better gear. My recommendation (this from meow's request):Yikes.
2012 is ancient technology at this point. I'd still be interested to know the exact model router you have, out of curiosity alone. I'm a big supporter of ASUS routers, personally. I refuse to run anything but them, and use Merlin's custom firmware (likely overkill for you). Some options:My current router is somewhat centrally located, but on the second floor. The bad reception rooms are on the first floor and in a corner of the house. It is from like 2012, which I assume is bad...?What router do you currently have? You can relocate the router to a central location, though that's rarely an option. Depending on your current gear, you'll likely want to upgrade the router to something significantly better. Or, as some have been doing lately, upgrade to a 'wi-fi system', which most are referring to a mesh network. You basically replace your current router with the new mesh router, and install satellite routers around your house to get more coverage. These satellites don't need to be hardwired to the main router.Ok IT nerds folks. My home WiFi is spotty in one room and damn near nonexistent in an adjacent room. What is the preferred method to remedy this IT problem?
My current router, which is great for just about anyone:
ASUS RT-AC68U
Of, if you want to splurge on a more recent model with all the bells and whistles:
ASUS RT-AC88U
My AC-68U is located in my master bedroom (2nd floor corner), and I have zero issues with range. Full signal @ 2.4GHz in my basement, slightly less on 5GHz (because that band doesn't do as good a job penetrating walls/floors as 2.4GHz).
