My dog daycare is adjacent to a Best Buy. Dipped in there for a specialty battery I need for tomorrow. It was nuts to butts in there.

I’ve only been to a Best Buy like 3x in the last 3 years, and there were only ever like 3 people in the store.

Anyone have an Amazon Blink wireless system? They have the doorbell and 3 outdoor cameras for $144 today. I'm assuming that they are very similar to Ring, but haven't heard much about Blink.

We'd set it up as not wired to the existing doorbell, and have been talking about getting one for a while with how much stuff we get delivered. The 3 cameras would be awesome to cover all doors and our car.

Does the deal include the ability to view live feeds?

Appears so. Motion activated then live feed to your phone.

The one I have had the option to view the current live feed but that was only for a trial period and I had to pay a monthly fee to continue using that service (I didn't). I was putting the camera in an awkward to get to location and it was hard to get the angle correct without having the live feed.

I have it. I didn't wire it to the existing doorbell either. The motion capture is a few seconds slow and if your wifi isn't strong at all of the locations you want to put the cameras you will most likely have issues getting the cameras to connect to the system. Not sure I'd recommend it.

Thanks, man. I'm a bit worried about any wireless doorbell as that will be the farthest from our router. We have an extender, but still. Our current doorbell isn't working so it may be worth a shot. Wonder what the return policy is on something like that.

Maybe better placed in the video game thread, but how is the switch? How is it for young kids? Like soon to be 5 year olds.

Probably perfect for them. The games are more geared to younger children than the other consoles. I remember having issues finding games my kids could play for the PS4 when we got it in 2014 when my kids were 6 and 8. Other than sports games and the Lego games, it was tough. They'd been playing the Wii and 3DS for a couple of years at that point. They of course wanted COD, which they weren't ready for.

Goldbelly has a 20% off sale going on right now, and I was about to grab another order of Joe's KC BBQ, but they bumped up the price $20 for the package I want, so even with the discount it's higher than what I'm comfortable paying. I'd do it if they allowed me to use my $30 in Rewards points, but they won't.

Bought a new widescreen monitor for the home office today.

Also got some other random switch games for niece's/nephew since we got them a switch for Christmas.

Scooped a nice adjustable barbell from Walmart for under a hundo...goes up to 55 lbs. that's an insane deal even if it falls apart after the sixth use...hard to find anything in that realm for under $250...

Still not worth it now. I'm going to buy brisket locally and just have my BIL smoke it and make me burnt ends. I'll pay him by buying him a brisket for himself.
