That episode leaned towards being dull.

Wasn't the first scene of Cersei and Jamie talking over their father's body shown immediately after the end of last season?
I believe that was Joffrey's body?

Yes. Usually when a show has its own thread like this (TWD is another) show events do not require spoilers but book events should.

Except if someone has gotten the leaked episodes and spoilers what's in them.

I liked the episode although I was bummed about the ratio of male nudity:female nudity.

I just kept hearing the South Park GOT theme song every time they showed male nudity.

Re:spoilers... Book spoilers should be marked as such. As far as the show goes, once something airs, spoilers should no longer be required... but if you are going to post potential spoilers about upcoming episodes... those should be spoilered.

Not that was indicated. I read an interview that said its over for his character.

Seems that Although Martin shared his ending with D&D, the story is still "evolving" in his mind and thus the book ending may ultimately end up deviating from that.

1sr episode was blah, 2nd much better and 3rd is also good so far.

And I think we are almost oitnof book spoilers. They are combining and creating storylines to only keep the main characters involved. Which is good.

The only person who I think will have an arc pretty much the same as the book is Jon and maybe Dany to some degree. But everything else so far is turning for the better.

I'm not watching the leaked episodes. And really out of courtesy, comments about said episodes should really be spoilered prior to the episodes airing.

Comments through 4 episodes:
Every single deviation from the books has made for a better story. Only thing I don't like is Brienne running into both Stark girls but if the payoff is Brienne saving Sansa at Winterfell fine.

The last scene with Selmy and Gray Worm, wonder what the fallout will be?

Loved getting to see more of Braavos. The little bit we did get to see of Dorne was pretty nice too. These new locations are going to be most excellent.

I kinda feel like they maybe rushed the whole Lord Commander vote a bit, but that would be my only complaint about the episode.

Daenerys' story line is getting much better. It was pretty stale for a while, but there's actual conflict and adversity

Glad to see Jaqen H'ghar back. I can't remember if there's hints at him being there with Arya in the book, since Jaqen H'ghar technically doesn't exist anymore.

Not in Bravos, I thought it was alluded to that the same person who killed Pate in Old Town then assumed his identity and met up with Sam was the same person as Jaqen. But I like having the familiar face back.

When you take into context that the Nights watch in the books is still hundreds or even thousands of men and not 50 or so on the show I can see how it was rushed. The dressing down of Slynt by Sam was great.

We just get to see Dany being dumb over and over again. I don't really like her in the show at all.

Yeah I'm trying to get into the Daenerys storyline, but still blah to me. The Jamie/Bronn expedition to Dorne (which wasn't in the books) should be an entertaining plot line, I think. So far, I have liked the deviations from the books. I think the continued presence of Kevan Lannister could make things interesting for Cersei, although he did say he was going back to Casterly Rock.
